The actual aliens from XCOM are available to you!

Well, Vipers, Mutons, Andromedons, and Sectoids anyway.

Features
All aliens featured have their own classes and equipment for them. Equipment is gained by building the medium armor schematics or the mentioned weapon schematic:

They are also able to bond with other soldiers on the Avenger.

Sectoids - Equipped with a sectoid blaster and their version of psi-amps. Has one utility slot. Gains upgraded equipment from the psi-amp and pistol schematics.

Vipers - Equipped with a Viper rifle and their own biological weapons. Has no utility slots. Gains upgraded equipment from the sniper rifle schematics.

Mutons - Equipped with a Muton rifle and the attached bayonet. Has one utility slot. Gains upgraded equipment from the assault rifle schematics.

Andromedon - Equipped with an Andromedon rifle and the base of their acid attacks. Has no utility slots. Gains upgraded equipment from the cannon schematics.

Aliens are earned from the Rescue Rogue Operative covert action that is added to the pool of covert actions.

Other Mod Integration
If Allies Unknown Redux is installed, the above aliens will also appear as potential rewards from Spectres/The Liberated and related mission content.

With Extract Corpses installed, Fultons can be used on stunned aliens of the right type in order to have a chance of gaining a new recruit.

FAQ
Are you going to keep working on this - not really, I'm just not super enthused to really work on this mod anymore.

Oh. Can I make something with this as a dependency then? - Go ahead! I ain't gonna stop you.

What about if i want to make my own custom version using code from this mod? - This is also fine.

Ok seriously, does the Mod even work anymore? Not a single Covert Ops mission helped me recruit any Alien so far... Maybe it worked years ago when it was created but not anymore...

How random are the "covert ops" missions needed to recruit aliens? I was wondering how long it would take or if I need to finish the ops concerning the "chosen" before they appear.

How it is possible to have a "Tertiary Weapon" in the allowed weapons list? Do you created this slot? Or is this a hidden possibility in the game?

Wondering about the whole "Allies Unknown Redux" compatibility, looked around and there isn't one precisely labeled that on the workshop, but are reworks to alien units. Did you mean https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1123588800 <---that one?

I'll install and try a fresh playthrough to pioneer my own answer in the meantime. :steamthumbsup:

(i also don't really like the idea of having 2 different vipers both popping up at the same time) i assume commenting out everything relate to the vipers in the ini file would work but i'm not sure

i much prefer the vipers from allies unknown redux species: viper is there a way i can use the vipers from that mod while keeping the other aliens?
