This guide is for people who like to enhance their DST ingame lobby name with emoticons. Those emoticons will only be visible in DST chat & lobby - not in Steam. You will need to have unlocked Gorge, Forge and Verdant emoticons!

Introduction

Since the new Gorge update those 48 cute emoticons got introduced. They can be included in the ingame lobby names!
You just need some imagination for a new name with some symbols included. I recommend using about 2-3 Symbols and maybe 6 letters at max. If your name is too long the symbols won't properly show in chat and lobbies and only show as ReallylongName.......
If you got your name together in any .txt format or the likes just copy paste that name into your steam profile.
Click on your name in the steam library and click on "edit profile" also don't forget to "save profile" after you are done with the edits!

And don't be confused its totally normal that the name will show like 󰀑Example󰀑 in Steam or Steam forums. The DST emoticons are exclusive to DST and can only be seen in that game lobbies!

This guide is still WIP ( work in progress ) and might get improved in the future especially when we maybe even get more emoticons!
I hope the Klei community now has even more fun waiting in lobbies for people to join and share ideas and strategies! I made this guide cause alot of people asked me in ingame lobbies :3

@nicola void The ASCII symbol should work regardless, when you fire up DST. But obviously in other games it will show weird square symbol []

If i copy and paste the ASCII Symbol you provide in my steam account will it work too ? Or do I HAVE to use an emoticon in in game chat so I get the ASCII Symbol from games folder ? Thanks !

@󰀀 Redhead 󰀈 what happened is when I put my name as :chester: MangyCoder7 :torch:, it wasn't showing the emoticon, and in-game, It also didn't show the emoticon itself. I haven't tried Ctrl+C Ctrl+V yet, bu I will try.

@Mangy It still does work. Make sure to copy past the correct ASCII code and to save your edits.
Icons work for server names and player names as well as always. GL
