DeepOres (Hardcore)

Beschreibung
What does this mod?

This Mod is a simple edit of the planet generation which spawns the ore deposits much deeper under the surface of each planet and moon. Additional to this are the deposits much larger to provide a real use for mining stations instead of just flying around in a mining ship and farm ores. Even open pit mines have now a reasonable point to been build!
The ore spots have been removed as well to make it really hard to find something.

From now on you have to search for ore longer and deeper as normally. Survival will be a real challenge now!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Where to find the different ores?

50m - 300m

Iron
Nickel
Silicon

400m - 800m

Cobalt
Silver

1000m - 1500m

Magnesium
Gold
Platinum (Not available on Planets, only Moons!)
Uranium (Blame Keen, it got replaced by Ice!)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How big are the deposits now?

I can't give out precise values but when i say from 50m - 300m then i mean it so! Each deposit is now around 150m - 400m long into the deepth.

The Screenshots show the dimensions of the deposits.
Can you find the red colored station block in each picture? :P

I haven't edited the deposits on the tutorial planets, these are still vanilla (default).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE: Triton has been added and tested. Weather Effects are working like they should on all planets!
UPDATE II: Triton textures are added to the mod to fix the problem with black skies. Thanks to Merii for his post on reddit :D
UPDATE III: Pertam and Triton Definitions/SkyTextures have been added and they work how they should. Pls blame Keen if anything breaks again!

FAQ:

Question: Do I have to start a new world to use this mod?

Answer: It is recommend to start a new world, otherwise you would have to delete/replace all existing planets in your world by yourself which is a bit of work.
Better add it right on from the start!

Question: Does this mod disable ore spawns on asteroids?

Answer: No, because only planets have been changed!

Question: I can't find any ore deposits now, how can i locate them?

Answer: Download a ore detector mod from the workshop which extends the range
(f.e. https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1963556756 )
Then you should be able to find ore deposits easier.
NOTE: Ore Detector mod which extend the range over 1000m tend to let the game freeze sometimes. Use them carefully!!!

Question: I would like to add your mod/values to my custom planet. Would that okay for you?

Answer: Absolutely!
Just add me to the credits or link to the modversion you use and i'm a happy ghost :D

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hopefully this mod is useful for your future mining operations and if you like post some screenshots of your mining facilities. Good Luck! or in german "Glück auf!"

could we get a version where overall a lot lessore ore fields would spawn, but those that do would therefor be that much bigger?

@Gunther there is a mod called "smooth voxels" which might be what you are looking for
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2652227853

also disabling metorites keeps the land prestine

Doesnt seem to work on my end, the ore spots are still visible and i found every ore at about 30-50m

I absolutely LOVE the premise of this mod.

However:

"The ore spots have been removed as well to make it really hard to find something."

Not true on my end. I found my first subterranean nickle deposit 130 km below the surface... under the dark spots I've become so familiar with.

But what bothers me most ab out this game is the ugly, out of place, unrealistic surface "warts" that litter the land.

If there were a way to get rid of these surface nodes my opinion of this game would increase significantly.

@Everyone After a very long break i've fixed the mod and added Pertam and Triton inclusive the SkyTextures. The mod still produces errors because Keen renamed/changed the SkyTextures. It is currently not possible to fix these errors because when I write the right filenames to the path then there are no SkyTextures at all!

Unless some new revelation has struck planet modding, you need to replace the planet definition in order to add or change ores, so any two mods trying to do that would have one overwrite the other's changes.

Im using Industrial overhaul with this, do you think this would make it so their custom ores dont spawn? Cant seem to find coal.

Will this mod affect custom planets downloaded from the workshop? Or will it only work on the vanilla planets?
