Mamayev Kurgan is a hill on the right Bank of the Volga river in the Central district of the city of Volgograd, where during the battle of Stalingrad was a fierce battle from September 1942 to late January 1943. .
Mamayev Kurgan, 2014 included in the world heritage list of UNESCO.
