Ethnic Diversity for Civilization V: Brave New World

Over 1000 new models of cultural and ethnic diversity, with no change to gameplay.

Cannot be activated at the same time as Hulfgar's Modpack, Ethnic Units, or R.E.D. Modpack; or the non-Steam version of Ethnic Diversity.

Installation
1. Click "+ Subscribe" and the mod should automatically download and extract itself.
- a. This is a large mod, so it may take some time.
- b. However, CiV sometimes has issues with large mods using the automatic method. See note below.
2. Find the "Ethnic Diversity [Steam version]" line and activate the mod.
3. Click NEXT, then SINGLE PLAYER, and set up your new game.
4. When restoring from save, you must use the MODS menu, click NEXT, and then LOAD GAME.

EXPERIENCING A CRASH?
Some people experience a crash to desktop when certain units are first displayed. Problem units vary from PC to PC, but I've collected the ones I know about; if you have this problem, download this replacement file, and extract it to your Ethnic Diversity mod folder (usually "%UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Ethnic Diversity [Steam version] (v xx)\" ): < https://forums.civfanatics.com/attachments/ethnicdiversity29-crashfixes2-zip.558043/ >

Note: If the game fails to download or extract the mod using the automatic method,
you can get the CivFanatics Center version or follow the steps below:
1. Check your mods folder (usually "%UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\") for the file: "Ethnic Diversity [Steam version] (v xx).civ5mod"
2. If the file doesn't exist:
- a. "Unsubscribe" from the mod in Steam.
- b. Use Steam Workshop Downloader < http://steamworkshopdownloader.com > to download the mod.
- c. Copy the .civ5mod file to your mods folder.
3. If the download failed or if the file exists but the automatic extraction failed:
- a. You can use 7-zip < http://sevenzip.sourceforge.net > to unzip .civ5mod files.
- b. Launch 7-zip, open the .civ5mod and extract it to its own folder (not directly in the mods folder).
The folder name does not matter.
