Designed as a short-range patrol ship or escort ship, the K-3 is small, simple, and easy to manufacture. It can be operated by a crew of 1 but has storage and seating for a few passengers within its small crew compartment. It can also be operated automatically and is perfect for patroling a series of set waypoints around a starbase or along a freight lane.
