Nagamaki

描述
This mod adds a new weapon to skyrim, the nagamaki, which is craftable at the forge; more info on crafting is below. Both dirty and clean textures are included with this mod.

**Categorized under "studded" to try to avoid cluttering up the steel category any further.
**Requires the steel smithing perk.
**Can be tempered/sharpened using 1 steel ingot.

Recipe:
steel ingot (5)
leather strips (3)

Lovely, been hankering after a Japanese style pole weapon for a minuteand this looks sexy. Shame there are no spear animations in Skyrim or I'd be bugging you modders for a naginata.

I made these quite a while ago. I think they should balanced close to their steel equivalent, whether that is the axe or greatsword, I don't know. Greatsword animations don't fit with this weapon, but it's obviously not an axe. Whether or not it'd register as a greatsword in-game was something I couldn't find a definitive answer to. There is some papyrus scripting that I could use to make a weapon-type-detecting staff or spell. I may have to do that to settle this once and for all.

I'm not sure to be honest. Just strange my superior glass sword is more than 10 points stronger than the mods swords. Wanted to use them... assumed the lower damage was a lack of points in the axe skill.

It uses axe animations, but I have the keyword weapontypegreatsword associated with the nagamaki in the Creation Kit. Have you confirmed that a feature related to greatswords does not work with these? I'll change the description if that is the case.

You should say it's an axe so sword owners steer away from this mod.
