Guide
Follow these simple steps.

1. Download ReShade 3.0 from their official website[www.reshade.me].

2. Run the installer and when it says select game, choose steamapps\common\Assassins Creed Origins\ACOrigins.exe. Once you have selected the .exe remember to check the DirectX10+ option.

3. When it asks you to install the shaders, click Yes then select only Adaptive Sharpen, Clarity and FakeHDR. You can download others if you wish to but I haven't tried most of them so I can't recommend any. Google will help you.

4. Once the game starts up you should see a box appear in the top left corner saying "bla bla Reshade 3.0". That means that it worked.

5. Once you're either in the main menu or ingame you press Shift+F2 to get the ReShade menu to open. When that's done you just follow the easy tutorial which shouldn't take more than a few seconds. If I remember correctly Shift+F2 also opens the Uplay overlay, so in the ReShade settings menu you can change the keybinding.

6. When the tutorial is complete you can mess around with the settings, select which shaders work best for you, or just delete it if you're unhappy with the final result. The only change I made was to turn ClarityStrength and Sharpening Strenght down just a tad.
My Custom Profile
This is the profile I use for AC Origins.
The profile is the thing you created in the ReShade mini-tutorial. If you want to try it out without having to replace your default one, just create a .txt and place it in steamapps\common\AC Origins\
Then you just open up the overlay(default Shift+F2) and select it from the top.

Notes
ReShade does not alter any of the game's files so you shouldn't worry about getting banned. I've been using it for years and I've never had a problem.

You might experience minor FPS loss but that depends on what settings you're running the game at, and what kind of specs your PC has.

For screenshots you can just look at any game on this[reshade.me] website to see comparison photos.

My game crashes when I try to open it with reshade installed. Can anyone help me with this?

Do people use this though?

The massive issues with framerates on current systems are already an issue,
I personally won't make it worse by adding more graphic options to make it look prettier

@Deivas20 It can (And usually does), but it generally isn't much of an issue. Depending on how many effects you use and how many are loaded in, you'll experience a greater loss in fps. With my settings, I can still get a solid 60 fps on high-ultra settings.

With reshade less fps?

@scorpgul Bloom is one of the settings I continue to tweak, so I won't be able to post that setting.
Colourfulness:
-Colourfulness - .170
-lim_luma - .840
Vibrance:
-Vibrance - .280
- RGB Balance - 1.00 each
I do use Adaptive Sharpen & Clarity, but I've left Adaptive Sharpen at its default settings. For Clarity, I have it set to the same settings as OP, but changed the blend mode to Hard Light and kept Offset to 1.00.

@Shiruzun Hello mate can you please post your bloom, colourfulness and vibrance settings please?

Are you using those together with OP's Adaptive Sharpen, Clarity and FakeHDR settings?

Thanks

I have the same problem, just like you Jake. Try to delete ACOrigins.exe and then verifying the game cache. Its worked for me

@Daniel. Lucky for you the musket is in the shop. And, yes, I've often thought the same. There are actually devs out there with a 'looks fine by me' attitude. Very few games have a pure feeling of quality. This is probably due to profit margins and nothing else. Money is always the motivator my friend.
