THIS IS OLD!!!
Hello everyone! This was first made just as the workshop was introduced into Ravenfield, meaning that this guide is OLD!
What To Download
Go to the Ravenfield Steam Workshop. You will need to download a few things.
Download the 2 things listed below.

  • The Musket Mod.This will include the musket, and the musket bayonet. Two important things for a sucsessful recreation.
  • Also, install the Flintlock Pistol Mod. Unfortunatly the AI doesn't really use it.
  • A Map by the name of Huston Fields. This map is full of rolling hills, and forests. The only problem with this near perfect map, is the addition of modern day bases, and machine guns which are not removeable. Besides these minor flaws, the rest of the map are quite realistic.
  • Also try out the map Highlands, its new on the workshop! Its very similar to Huston fields, but is also set in a simalar era.
To download, find these on the Steam Workshop and hit subscribe. If Ravenfield is open, restart your game.

Game Settings
Now we will discuss the specific settings for your game. Some of these are optional such as time of day.

  • First, make sure you have selected the right map.
To do so, press the button Custom Maps, and find Huston Fields.
  • Select either Point Match or Battalions for best gameplay.
  • Then set the bots to around 200 - 300, depeding on your PC's power. Then set balance to 3/4 of the bots on your side. This is optional, but highly recomended to make sure your game ends in a reasonable amound of time.
  • VERY IMPORTANT! Set it to NO vehicles!
  • Time is optional. Night is a fun challenge, but day is my prefered choice for a good battle. Respawn time, Player Team, and Reverse Mode are all optional aswell.
A.I. Weapons
To make sure your AI cannot use AK-47's in a battle designed to be in the 1700's you need to use the new feature, AI Weapons!
Anything with the strike is optional, and is semi realistic. These are either used to an unrealistic extent, a little over powered, used as a primary wepon {over the musket} or annoying to the player.
This is a button in the settings panel. It will take you to a nice interface.
I'm going to go section by section on the panel, for what to toggle.
  • Start by clicking Toggle All until nothing has a "X" in the box beside it. Click the boxes next to the names you see below. Click the ones not striked, and only the striked ones you want.
  • Assault - Quicksilver
  • Marksman - Musket
  • Stealth - Quicksilver
  • Handguns - .375 Condor, and the Flintlock Pistol.
  • Equipment - Wrench, Ammo Bag, Medical Bag, Air Horn, and the Musket Bayonet.
Enjoy!
Please also leave an acurate rating. I want you to say positive or not so I know if you guys enjoyed. Also favorite if you see it fit.
I hope you enjoy this user created gameplay!
People who are cool and I want to thank.
  • Plant_12345 - Made the awesome Huston Fields map.
  • Dr. Doctor Ph.D. - Made the lovely musket, and the great Flintlock Pistol.
    • Also, I'd like to that Owlchoholic the map highlands!
  • 35thman - Made sure the gameplay was fun, and that this Community Guide was good looking.

Please rate this to what you see fit. If you disliked it, please comment why, and I will do my best to resolve that issue.

I usually give myself a musket, flintlock, and a saber. Then I give the AI muskets and bayonets, or only muskets, if I want to be able to chop through them while they're reloading.

This is also good, to my understanding. http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1163189816
