Introduction
This guide shows you how to have two split sidebars on an artwork instead of just one. As you can see in the examples below, this allows a symetrical and unique showcased artwork or screenshot.

Credit
Double sided artwork was invented by Zu and Ash.
Full credit goes to them for their inspiration to the Steam community.
Note
The steps below are intended for people who already have a main and side artwork, and just wish to add a second bar to their artwork. If you don't have a main and side artwork, you can use the template provided at the end of the "Extras" section or use Steam.Design first.
Step 1

As you know, steam lets you showcase a main artwork, and some side artwork. This results in a split to the right of showcased artwork.

Now to add a second split to the left side of the showcase, we need to add it to the main artwork. Start by downloading this overlay image: https://imgur.com/a/MzKlx

Once you've downloaded the image, open it up in an image editing sotware and put it a layer above your main artwork.

Step 2

Now simply drag the overlay image so the white corners are on the very outer edge of your artwork.

If you're working with both the main and side artwork on one big canvas, select and crop just the main artwork once the image overlay is in place.

Congrats! You can save and upload your main artwork. It will have a double split like in the examples.

Extras

If your main artwork is an animation, feel free to delete the inside gradiant of the fake split. This reduces file size and increases quality by lowering your GIF's color palette.

Don't do this if your artwork is a PNG or JPEG.
For a full showcase template with a double split, visit this image: https://i.imgur.com/m2ePnJN.png
With this template you can simply drag whatever image you want underneath it.

Optional: Photoshop Action
For those who use actions in Photoshop, the above steps can be automated using an action.

  1. Download and install the Photoshop action by going here.[www.dropbox.com]

  2. Open your main artwork up in Photoshop. Make sure it's 506 pixels wide.

  3. Before using the Photoshop action, copy this image: https://imgur.com/a/KJMft

  4. Once it's copied to your clipboard, go ahead and run the Photoshop action.
