Hey everyone, this guide is for Metro 2033 and how to get the Sherlock achievement. This can be done in a single playthrough and you can even just select the chapters manually (ALERT: some players have had difficulty getting the achievement this way, so better safe than sorry, do it in one playthrough instead) if you've already beaten it. I noticed that when I was editing some of this on my laptop some of the screens were darker than on my PC so I'm going to redo some screens, let me know if any of them are especially difficult to find, hopefully the descriptions are good enough but I'm always looking to improve these guides. One more thing, I put the level number of bullets first and just listed them and I put the total in parentheses.

Let's get to work.

At the beginning you gather your things on the table and pick up some bullets,

I guess this counts since technically its bullets but you do it automatically so Iets go to the actual hidden ones.

2. (2)

Outside of your room you'll continue down some corridors and come across a left arrow and "7".



In the room nearby you'll see some guys sitting at a table and a box with some cans on it on your way to exit the room, find ammo inside a can.



3. (3)

A little while later you'll grab your weapons and supplies and go through a couple more rooms until you reach this one with a guy playing a guitar by a campfire.



Swing over by him and grab the next clip of ammo in his hat (ammo is money in this game so you're stealing from this guy!).



4. (4)

The very next room you'll come across some pigs



Go around the first shelf and look at the bottom of the second shelf



Grab the last ammo clip in this station.



Right on guys, we're on our way to the next station and more hidden ammo!

This one is a doozy, a lot of hidden bullets to find, so lets get it going.

1. (5)

The first one is after your friends toast to you and he hands you some bullets as payment for both their lives.



2. (6)

In the same room check out the back table to find the next set of bullets.





3. (7)

Just before you exit this same room check out the sink next to the stairs.





4. (8)

This next one can be a bit tricky since it's so dark but as soon as you come down the first steps turn to your left and you'll see this back room.



Go back a bit and turn right.



Walk forward and turn right again and you'll see this crate and the bullets in between.





5. (9)

From where you're at, you can under the stairs and go to the left this time. Check out the area left of where the guy is standing on the wall for the next set of bullets.





6. (10)

The next one you can go back to the stairs we first came down to orient yourself, you'll see that kid asking for a bullet to your right but before you go follow him go over to the left and you'll see some tracks and bums.




The next bullet is next to that yellow pallet mover (pretty sure that's a pallet mover).




7. (11)

Alright, NOW, let's go follow that boy....sort of. Give him the bullet (well, you don't have to, but he serves as a good landmark for other bullet locations) and he'll run off to the left. You'll see this area:




Walk straight over the bridge go hang over by the guys with the campfire.




Look at the bunk beds behind them in a dark corner and you'll see the bullet on the bed.




8. (12)

This one might be hard to see because I took the screenshot when the ammo wasn't flashing but basically you go back to where you first found that kid and give him a bullet. You look over to your left and you'll see that guy leaning up against the wall.




Follow that left path straight back and you'll see the ammo on the left corner of the box.




9. (13)

Finally, follow the kid that's leading you to your contact in the station. Hopefully you did give the kid a bullet because this is where he makes a good landmark for this next bullet. You'll see the kid waiting for you about halfway down the trench.




Right before you get to him look to the right into the bunk area and down.




You'll see the bullets here.




10. (14)

As you exit the trench you'll see some outhouses in the front of you. Head over to the far right outhouse.




The bullets are inside the "toilet bowl", mustve fallen out of a pocket.




11. (15)

Continuing to follow the boy you'll see some crates to the left, also to the left of the outhouses you just came from.




Behind the candle holder you'll see the hidden bullets.




12. (16)

Right after the bullets by the candle turn around 180 degrees and you'll see a small bridge towards another set of bunks.




As you enter this little area look over to the right and (sorry about the darkness) you'll see a small door opened at the back of the area




Shift around that small opened door and you'll see the bullets flashing on the top bunk.




13. (17)

Leave the last area and continue down towards where the kid is leading you. You'll pass by another opened door on your right.




Might have to do a little shifting around this door to find the bullets at the bottom of the bunks.




14. (18)

You'll finally reach your contact, Bourbon, but before you start talking to him check the table in the back of the room.




You'll find the bullets on the table.




15. (19)

Bourbon talks to you and gives you the next set of bullets.




16. (20)

Follow Bourbon and he'll lead you out of the station. The first door he leads you out look over to the left and you'll see some crates.




Your second to the last bullets are found on the crates.




17. (21)

FInally, just before the level ends Bourbon will lead you to an area like this:




Look behind the electrical box and behind the candle holder on top of it for your final set of bullets in Riga Station.




That was a huge one, the next one is too so lets get started.

1. (22)

At the beginning of the level you'll be held up and Bourbon will be taken to talk to some "friends". While he's doing that or before he's taken away you can walk up the ramp infront of you and go over to the left.








To the back are some crates, and on top are some bullets.




2. (23)

Follow Bourbon when he comes back and he'll give you your next set of bullets.




3. (24)

After you talk to Bourbon, turn around and you'll see a train car.






Enter the train car and at the end of the first bunks there will be a bullet on the left bunk.






4. (25)

Turn around from that last bullet and you'll see the next set on the right side of the train on some other bunks.




5. (26)

Continue down the train and just before you go through the cloth door look to your left for another bullet.






6. (27)

Now head through the cloth door and you'll see your next bullet to your left by a candle holder.






7. (28)

Outside of the train you'll see 3 lockers to your right. Open the far right one and grab the bullet from the top shelf.








8. (29)

After the train, return to the area Bourbon first talked to you and gave you a bullet, go through the archway and just as you enter the new area look down and to the right for another bullet.








9. (30)

On the left side of the room you'll see a dark corner with a ladder. The next bullet is on the ladder.








10. (31)

As you continue through this area you'll see some guys sitting at a table at the bar, check out the table for some more bullets.






11. (32)

Past that table, check out the bar on the wall for another bullet behind some bottles.






12. (33)

Moving to the next area.




You'll see a guy in the middle of this room sitting down and around on the other side of his luggage is a bullet.






13. (34)

At the back left of this room is a butcher's table, below the table near the legs is your next bullet.






14. (35)

180 turn from the butcher's table and you'll see a man behind a desk, a fire extinguisher on the desk in front of him and a girl in a red shirt.




To the right of the girl and in some boxes is the next bullet.




15. (36)

In the final room of this area is a buggy on your right as you come in.




Move around to the front of the buggy for the next hidden bullets and other bullets, bonus!




16. (37)

The final bullets for this level are near a man that is proped up on a wall next to the buggy we just went around.




Look around the gas can that's about eye level with him for the final bullet in Market Station.




We're almost done! Armory station doesn't have as many bullets so lets finish this.

The final station! and it's a quick one so lets finish the fight!

1. (38)

As you come into the station after going through the big doors and being "warned" about the station being under Red control you'll come up a ramp and see some barrels.






Head ALL the way back to the end of this area and look right down at the floor by some barrels and you'll see the ammo flashing.




2. (39)

Now head into the station and look for that archway. Don't go to the left where you're supposed to go just yet. Head through the arch.




Take a right when you get to the train and head to the back of this area to some boxes and crates where the next bullets will be.






3. (40)

So this one takes place DURING the chase scene, after you get your hands tied (you can still pick up bullets) and run away start following the guy that's helping you out.

Right after this, when the guy hooks right and then he'll go left again, in that corner where he goes left again there are some bullets on the box. Just try to sweep by and pick them up while you're still running.






4. (41)

After escaping you'll wake up with your hands untied and talk to the Blacksmith.






After you're done talking to him, exit out his apartment and go right and turn right into the dark corner to see some ammo on the crates.





5. (42)

The final one is where you go for your last objective but it can still be kind of hidden.




Drop down inside the hole and look at the bottom-right of the ladder for your final bullet! You did it!
