This Map is NoT based on ShatterNL's (also fantastic!) work. Use this zoomable map in Steam-overlay to find a car, bike or boat in the game... You can also use this map to calculate distances or to map C130/Parachute area's.

I've used ShatterNL's map for some time too when i started playing the game, but i switched after a while when i found this interactive map.

The map is actually interactive; you can find it on https://pubgmap.io/erangel.html
Sadly though, the site doesn't perform quite good when run in the steam overlay; so switching and zooming on the map is really a bad idea, especially after the anti-cheat software that was deployed it became almost impossible to get this site running smoothly in the overlay while playing pubg.
So i've pulled a few screenshots and uploaded them; they do still run properly in the overlay!

UPDATE: MIRAMAR has been added to the site and is now fully interactive too; vehicles are already in the map, the best lootspots will be added later when there is more experience with the map. You can find the Interactive Miramar map on: https://pubgmap.io/miramar.html
For now i'm not going to create screenshots of the map for Miramar. The site seems to work pretty good in the current build of the game (it used to be really bad) so using the interactive map in the steam overlay shouldn't be a problem. Also the map isn't complete yet and i don't want to present you some screenies while on the live map there might already be more info available. When the Miramar map is complete (at the same level of Erangel) i'll post screenshots.

There are 3 screenshots of the interactive Erangel map; 1 full shot with everything enabled, and 2 shots that only show the locations of transportation (Landcruisers & Watersliders). A northern-side and a southern-side shot (main island and military island)

This is OLD NEWS; as we now HAVE the 'desert' map, better known as MIRAMAR...
But it doesn't end here, we're already looking forward for the third map; it's rumoured to be a snowy map with a European setting. Maybe it'll be somewhere in the Alps or are we going to get some freeroaming in an area from one of the Scandinavian countries?
Also, a little bird came to tell me that after the third map it's not going to be over, there is more to come... Will the USA get a spot in the game too? Or will the honors go to a country in the South-East Asia Region?
We'll have to practive some patience, a lot of patience, but in the end it'll be all worth it and Time Will Tell where we're going to spread the lead amidst the millions of other pubgee's every day.

I really want to emphasize that i'm not trying to steal content; i've put multiple links to the original content, and you can easily use that interactive map if you want to. I only created the screenshots because a few builds of the game made using the interactive map really slow and laggy as hell. That's why i decided to make the screenshots and post them here. Since the current 1.0 release of the game is running fine with the interactive map in the steam overlay, i'm not going to post screenshots of miramar right away; Give the Creator what he deserves and pay his site a visit; https://pubgmap.io/miramar.html

the map seems to have had some update to it's contents again... as i noticed a few extra spots where cars are available 'sometimes'

it's a link to a resource you can use in the game, and this is a guide to tell you where to find that resource ... unlike other people who make a screenshot of said map, add their logo and act if it's their own map... (not shatternl, but i've seen at least a russian guy doing it)

you don't have to use an extra map to find vehicles, but then don't come crying you constantly die when the circle is far away and you almost never make it in time cuz 'there isnt enough cars' .. cuz there are more then enough cars and boats to get around...

to position myself i ofcourse use the ingame map; but if i'm in wildernis and want to know where the closest cars would be, then i open the overlay and lookup my current position on the map and see where i need to go..
so i don't use it as my primary map ingame, that's not possible. i just use it as a resource to know where vehicles/boats are closest by (i don't know all the spawns by heart).
also; you always need to remember that cars don't spawn every time on the same locations, so sometimes there may be a car, other times you'll have to run to the next carspawn...
but it has helped me a lot of times to find a car when the blue was coming, knowing where to go to for vehicles literaly saves your life, especially if the white circle is at the other side of the map.
