[WOTC] Simple Red Fog

Omschrijving
Most units, including XCOM, are now weakened by damage taken, depending on severity of the injuries. The default balance is intended to be noticeable but not a replacement for flashbangs, suppression, and other disables and defensive options. Boss enemies, including sectopods and gatekeepers, as well as berserkers and ADVENT generals are immune.

This is not implemented as a secondwave/advanced option, just a normal mod activated by being installed.

If you do not use the default settings, I advise you to back up your changes to a text file, as updates may reset them.

Features
  • Reduced stats for damage taken based on three breakpoints. No/minor damage, then light, moderate, and severe red fog penalties. Default: 100-76% health is none, 75-51% is light, 50-26% is moderate, with 25% and below being severe.
  • Customize breakpoints, stats affected, and how much they are affected at each level of red fog. Default: Mobility 2/3/4, Offense 6/12/21, HackDefense and Will 4/8/14.
  • Switch between a flat addition mode and a percentage based multiplicative mode for each stat.
  • Configure which units are immune to red fog, with a hardmode setting for only XCOM and an easymode setting for only aliens. By default, Julian, Avatars, Chosen, Rulers, Generals, Sectopods, Gatekeepers, and Berserkers are immune. There is also a list to make any unit unimmune that is covered by an earlier option.
  • Safe to add to ongoing campaigns, probably safe to remove too but it's your save file.

The config for this mod is XComRedFog.ini in the mod folder, ID 1148997016.

Known Issues
  • If the stat hacking is used, be aware that soldiers whose hack is 0 or below cannot use hack, even on objectives, doors, etc..

Compatibility
No overrides. Should work with anything.

  • A Better ADVENT works

Planned Features
  • "Blue Fog", set of red fog abilities applied to robotic enemies so they can have separate stats and values. (no more minus hackdefense for advent troopers)
  • Possibly also half-immune ala LW2 red fog, for cyberus and perhaps others, reduced effect or another configurable set of different stats.

    Made with xylthixlm's XModBase 2.0

I’d love an updated version that’s not broken, as this is a really cool idea for a mod.

Same as the two guys below me. Some stats stay permanently after battle.

There seems to be a problem with this mod's stat bonuses staying on some units permanently if they leave a battle wounded. Seeing as the mod hasn't gotten any updates for 5 years it's probably a good idea to not use this.

How compatible is it to modded enemies? Would they get red fog (or its immunity) as well?

Something for the devs:
Uses XModBase 2.0.1

Could it be upgraded to 2.0.2 or later? Otherwise this mod will be undoing a Highlander fix:

Shielding doesn’t count as health, therefore red fog won’t apply when the shield is removed. It’s only the white bars.

the entire HP pool is considered health.

Do shield HP points lower the red fog?

Like the hp that shield barers give for example. Does their "Orange hp" active red fog if it is destroyed? Or does it only count for the main HP pool?
