Basic Info

This building is not functional, and is for visual purposes only.

A prefabricated Jet Bridge as a building. This model is the correct height for the 777, and most likely the correct height for the 747 (lower deck), 767, 787, A330, A350.

This jetbridge is based on a 4m high rotunda as opposed to the 3m high ones previously uploaded.

This asset can be used for a MARS (Multi-Apron-Ramp-System) gate, where more than one jetbridge is used to board a wide-body aircraft.

Most of the jetbridge is included in the building, however, it does not include:
1) The rotunda connection door (to connect to the terminal).
2) The cab portal
3) The canopy

Those are three items that you will need to place yourself, since they will depend highly on the angle of the jetbridge relative to the aircraft and the terminal.

To place the cab portal, center the selector center (with move-it) on the center of the cab's circle. Once this is done, you can raise the portal into position, and just rotate it around the cab (since the pivot is off center) to the orientation you want.

To place the canopy and rotunda connection door, align them to the cab portal or rotunda, respectively, and fit them as best as you can.

Notes on Precision Placement

I used precision prop placement in the asset editor, however, I have verified that the settings will carry over with the building if you do not have the precision prop placement mod enabled (or installed). Additionally, the item image was created without using precision prop placement, so it is not needed (it helps though).

If you are not using precision prop placement, the only part that might cause a problem is the canopy. If this is the case, position it as best as possible (so that there is no gap between it and the portal, and it is roughyl centered between the two portal sides. If there is a little clipping of the portal geometry through the canopy, I found that slighly rotating the portal allows you fix that issue (since rotations are more precise than position).

@Prosper You can create something like that with the parts in the asset pack. If you place them on/in a building within the editor, then they will appear as a complete prefab.

Could you create something similar for a cruise port?

I will create all the other buildings.

@baronjutter Then glass jetbridges are not for you (they require two asset packs as opposed to the base set that only requires one). As for a low performance one, I have my old jet-bridge pack still in my workshop marked as Deprecated. There are also some prefabs for those as well, they just don't look as nice. Also, they're not little props, each is larger than a bus, but I understand what you meant.

Any chance on getting a few simple generic jet bridges? I'm very low on ram space for more assets and it's hard to justify 100+ megs just for a 3-4 tiny little props.

alright thanks!

I don't plan on it, since those are much easier to place (fewer parts). Besides, these were for a specific terminal asset that I am working on, which only makes sense to have glass jetbridges.

Are we going to get this in plated and corrugated?
