Introduction
This guide is here to help with your financial insecurities!

Listen carefully and you might be able to survive a week with just 500 marks!

This guide does not guarantee you will not die at the end of it
Scenario
Your going through some financial troubles. You have only 500 marks and you cant afford to use the tractor or truck because it hasnt got enough fuel and would be too expensive to use. You have the van the satsuma and the moped as well as the boat.

You need to survive until the next week.

Budget: 500 Marks
Goal: Live until next week
Where to live & How you live
Where you live is a vital part to saving money since it means the things you have easy access to like fuel and food. How you live is one of the most important things to do with living on a budget.

Dont be someone who only eats in the pub? The food there is overpriced

Where

Take your stuff and move to the city if you already have then good job! Find a place to live as long as its near the store and away from Yellow perkele. This way you dont use a lot of fuel coming to the store or die in the process.

How

Whenever you drive a car wether its diesel or gasoline dont rev your car too much this means higher fuel consumption at a lower speed. You could be driving at 60km/h in the van in 2nd gear meaning you rev too much which means you use too much fuel. You could also be driving in 3rd gear at 60km/h with lower revs and at the same speed.

Its not how fast you go in a car but how much you rev it. (Its not that simple for every car but this is the basic idea)

Food, Drinks and Stress!
Water:

Drink it from the tap or if you cant and you want to buy a drink then go for milk its 5marks for every bottle and it also lowers your hunger.

If your an alchoholic and you want beer steal booze from the guy you sell wood to.

Food:

you can buy sausuges but only use them when your hunger is in the red. Dont buy macaroni since it costs 3 marks more. Sausuges shouldn't be your main source of food. If you are really willing to save money start fishing. Sure they are annoying to get but then again. Its free!

Stress related items:

Cigarettes is your best bet. 13 marks a pack and all you'll need is 1-2 packs a week. dont use it when you dont need to. Only when you really do. If you have beer from last week dont get yourself hungover you'll get more stress the next morning just from being hungover.
Saving money with the Satsuma
The satsuma is very fragile and easy to break. Although it is very easy to drive and its easy to know your fuel consuption with or without the extra gauges.
Coolant:
This is one of the more expensive fluids for the satsuma but there is an easy solution. Go to your tap drink water until your urine is full. Now open the radiator cap and pee in it. You should have the Dakar Rally achievment but more importantly free coolant!

This probably isn't ideal but hey! You aren't rich unless you cheated or took drunkmans money...

Upgrades:
Don't go out buying the rollcage or any of that. As long you have the fuel mixture gauge and maybe if you want extra gauges assuming you already have this stuff.

In some cases getting an upgrade can be completely pointless, save as much weight as possible! Take off every body panel (fenders, hood, trunk, grille, and doors) as well as every seat other then the drivers seat and you would save one weight!
You will notice better performance and as a result better fuel performance because not as much fuel has to be spent accelerating.

Driving Style
The way you drive is extremely important. Wether your driving the satsuma or the fernandale it wont matter too much. In the satsuma you should stick to the speed limit on each road and make sure your fuel mixture gauge is at 13.1 (meaning more power under 5000 RPM)

For example:
Drive at 60km/h in 2nd gear and you will most likely heating the engine up and using more fuel.
But drive at 60km/h in 3rd gear you will still keep your speed but be using less fuel and not be heating up your engine. Continuation of the point I made earlier, low revs = less fuel used.

Saving Money with the Van
The van is probably your best bet. its reliable and its diesel so it is much more fuel efficent. It can hold a lot of things and hell if you wanted to live in it put the sofa or seat rear of the satsuma and get your self some food and you got a campervan!

Fuel:

Limit yourself to the equivelent of a single diesel jerry can for every 2-3 days or maybe 1 full tank of fuel in the van for every 3-4 days.

Driving Style:

This is pretty simple and I already explained it. But heres a list just in case:

0-20km/h 1st Gear

20-40km/h 2nd Gear

40-60km/h 3rd Gear

60-80km/h 4th Gear

Do not go above 80-100km/h or you will begin to wobble and use more fuel then neccesary!
Routes to take
You need to know where your going before you start moving. This section is about where to go and how to get there.

What places you might want to go to and how to get there:
Perajarvi (City):

If your at your original home and you want to go there then go left on the street to Loppe and take another right on to the highway. From there you can go left onto the highway or right. If you go left it will be the second left and vice versa.

Fleetari's Repair Shop (Loppe):

If your at the City then what you do is you go on the highway turn right and turn right onto a dirt road when you can then make a left towards the repair shop

If your going from your home then you have the choice between going on the dirtroad or the highway but dont try taking the shortcut with the tracks because it is all mud so you will get stuck and wont be able to get out.

Runway/Dump

From the city you will just take a left onto the highway then take another left once you can.

From the original home you will want to go left onto loppe right onto the highway then go right and then take another right once you can.

Extra Info
It is easier to drive using a controller or steering wheel than a keyboard.

Steering wheels and controllers allow for analog inputs whereas a keyboard makes it harder since it is binary. Harder but not impossible

Analog Examples:
Steering Wheel (I use the Logitech G290 w/ out gear shift)
You can also use a gamepad (Xbox controller or heck even a ps4 controller)

Binary:
Binary is just to outcomes on or off steering help just slows down the steering but if anything it might not be good for when you need fast reactions

Its not necassary to get an Analog input but personally I think its much more immersive with a steering wheel.

If you cant memorize the map just put the map on your phone or something (maybe even print it) and use that as an example. Unless you memorized it then good on you.

Whenever the police come always go under 80km/h (100km/h with satsuma) with van when going past the police with the radar gun. Always listen to the police if you want to spare yourself the money.

Cost of Gasoline:
(DEPENDS!)
You will notice the price when you arrive at the gas station

Cost of Diesel:
Also varies! (But cheaper than gasoline)
I dont recommend using diesel if your saving money, use the Fuel oil (Red cylinder at the back) and you will get cheaper prices. Only downside is if you get caught on the highway you will be fined for it. SO DONT USE THE HIGHWAY!

Please, if there is anything you wanna ask comment below.

Thank You.

Instead of buying diesel for the van it's actually better to use motor oil, because it's cheaper, but you can't use the roads without getting fined with tons of money. After all, driving on the dirt roads shouldn't be a problem.

I use motor oil instead of diesel on the truck, because it saves me tons of money, and not being able to use roads doesn't even matter to me.

@60_Thou I personally dont try spamming the n key since it takes forever. I would be better off just smoking (ingame of course) to be fair. But nontheless great idea, Ill try including it :D

When I'm stressing out, I jump in the boat & swear my head off as I cruise across the lake (help's me relax lol). By the time I get to the shop, I'm not stressed...well that is until I see banana-head.

I'm trying to give up the smokes & save money. I'm a full on smoker, I can drawback a full smoke in one go. Makes it hard to see the road when there's a dutch oven going on lol

Thanks for the guide :)

+Michealhicks108 Did you move it before? If not use MSC Editor and try to teleport it to the garage table or kitchen table.
