I found a major bug, And I will release more on this later on.
By My name is Tomaaas
THIS IS IMPORTANT: Today, I found a bug for subnautica, and it is quite major. I am going to be posting it all over the place when I can, because I feel that it is significant. Forget about storage disappearing, spawning locked inside wrecks, swimming in an air-filled sea base, and the overall existance of Spotted Reeds (find them on reefbacks, they are buggy). This is something big. I need help making this more public, so that it gets fixed.

The Setup
CONSOLE COMMANDS WERE NOT USED.
I didn't take pictures before the incident, as I didn't know it was going to happen. However, I can explain what I had going to possibly be any cause of this. I will explain as much as I can think of, as as far as I can tell, anything could've caused this.
-I had 1 cutefish/cuddle fish, and it was following me. I did not know of the position of the pet, but it could've had the PRAWNS spawn in it?
-I was doing some process to charge the cyclops fast, which I will explain shortly.
-There were NOT any buildings under the Moonpool, and there were NOT any foundations under it. It was a moderate distance above the seafloor.
-My base was in between the safe shallows, grassy plateau, and creepvine forest. If you were to leave my base, stand right in front of the hatch, and look directly through it, The shallows would have been to the left and behind you. The grassy plateau would have been under you and straight forwards, and the creepvine forest would have been to the right. To the left was also one of the easiest entrances to the jelly shroom caves you can find.
-I had a reinforced dive suit and gloves equiped, as well as a rebreather. I did not have a compass, thermometer, or scanner room HUD chip equipped. I had a light high capacity tank equipped.
-I had, in this order on my hotbar, a knife, a seaglide, a scanner, a welder, and a habitat builder. There was a laser cutter in my inventory.

I will now describe the process which directly preceded the bug's occurance.
The Process
In order to power my cyclops, I had done the following with my PRAWNS, Moonpool, and Cyclops.
First, I picked up 7 empty power cells from some lockers. Then, I picked up 6 Cyclops power cells. A few of them were at 0%, the rest were at 41% or higher, with one at 41% (I think it was 41%), and a few being 58%, and I believe 57% and/or 59%. They were not ion cells.
I entered the PRAWNS, which was docked (in its glorious, glitched fashion where it spawns a bit off from where it should). It had a thruster upgrade, a propulsion arm (left) and grapple arm (right). I forgot the other upgrades it had.
I emptied its full power cells after manuevering it near a hill, on elevated land nearby. I replaced them with a 0% power cell and the 41% power cell. I immediately entered the prawn suit, and thrustered to the moon pool. On the way, I must've accidentally smacked the cutefish/cuddle fish with my legs, as it made the hurt sound. I waited a bit for the power cells to charge.

This is when it gets interesting, finally.

The PRAWNS is fully charged, so I enter. Immediately, I am gone, and so is the suit. I cannot see anything for the PRAWNS, and I am quite shocked. I forgot whether or not I left first, but because of how buggy everything looked and acted, I pressed F8, and instead of getting a manueverable menu that lets you easily tell them what's wrong in 190 characters or less, or simply tell them some feedback about the game itself, I got a horrible menu which, when I attempted to do anything with, simply bugged out. I couldn't press any check marks or even a face. I did F12 and F11 for game and steam screenshots.
The Bug
I did manage to send two bits of feedback, but they probably showed nothing, and I couldn't even describe the bug's process. I swam around, snapping screenshots wherever I could. My arms weren't even arms. I honestly only just now realized they probably were arms. I did leave the PRAWNS, as it cannot possibly help me in this situation. I do not know if I am swimming, as I have been for quite some time and I haven't drowned or gotten a warning, if I even can. I can occassionally see a red flash on the side and a little blue dot, indicating I'm going to drown. At some point I pause the game, and this is what I see:
I decide some point later on that I want to see the menu again, and it proves that this is just a "randomly generated" menu. I closed and reopened, getting all of these, and more:
I, at some point, decide to check out the PDA:
There are so many odd things about all of these photos. What the heck is that thing on the 2nd and 3rd photo? I would think it was my arm, but it couldn't have, because the 3rd reveals a texture with bars in it.
I, while snapping more screenshots, find something even more wondrous. Take a look at these photos and think about what is wrong (besides the fact that the game is broken). Keep in mind I snapped these in quick succession.
Do you see that? I am teleporting. How is that? The meters on the beacon for my seabase are updating between 25xx and 28xx. I am teleporting 300 meters back and forth. On the last one, it does not have a final number, but that's just the warping effect being applied to the text by the bug. But, this next bug confuses me.

It seems to either disprove the teleporting effect, or show that the PRAWNS beacon is messed up.

Either that, or the pings system is entirely broken. Or maybe even all of them.

The PRAWNS. The thing that did this all. The PRAWNS should fall through water, no matter what, and it isn't. It's not even that high up compared to me, or it shouldn't, because I left the PRAWNS only a short while ago.
Tons of images.
These are a lot of images, all of which of the bug.

Something else to note is that the GUI doesn't appear on many of these photos. That is also a glitch. They were there for me, even if they were nearly unreadable.
A thought
NOTE: Unrelated to bug, only a thought I had about it. If you are interested in doing something to replicate the bug you will never have to read this.]

A thing you can compare this to is Minecraft. I know, yes, Minecraft. You are thinking I'm 5, right? If you're not then okay.

Anyways, "How can you compare this to Minecraft?"

The Far Lands. In old Minecraft, there was a heavily broken section of the world that existed which was extremely laggy, and far away from spawn. The only way anyone ever got there was through commands. (There is this guy, kurtjmac, who is a pretty big chunk of a way there, though). The farther you go, the more your game starts to glitch out. There is a big jitter effect which happens, and is also happening to Kurt. It gets worse in worse the farther out you go. Could a similar effect be happening here?

A similar thing, I believe, happens in Super Mario 64, as well. In this video, the youtuber Pannenkoek2012 (It is UncommentatedPannen, but I remember that being the alt or something of Pannenkoek2012) explains floats, which I believe may be related to it. Or I could be just really dumb right now.

There are also the tales of the Void in Subnautica, which depict a very glitchy GUI, as well as many other, more significant things, when someone was adventuring into the void. (It was a creepy pasta, but a couple of things (other than the monster) mentioned were proven true. I could be wrong about the GUI thing, as I haven't read that in a few months. If the author didn't write the thing about the GUI, it was one of the following explorers.

The Conclusion
I just have some concluding statements for this bug.
-For one, you may be thinking: This is not what should go in a guide, I think it should be taken down or something. No, the point is that I'm going to be posting this wherever I can to get it publicity, so that the devs can notice it as well. I would've used the feedback system, but the thing is:
This bug destroys the feedback system. I also would've posted it on UWE forums instead, but I didn't have an account yet, and there is a 1 day pause in your ability to post, and I just had too much to say that I didn't want to forget.
-Just felt like this was appropriate, I don't know why. I love Subnautica. This game utilizes Early Access for good, and is able to seem like a final product before it's even done. These bugs do not make me hate the game, in fact I was honestly just awestruck by this one. It is Early Access, and you can expect these things. But they still need to be shown to the developers because we are the playtesters, and we can almost indirectly "control" and contribute to the development of this game. I don't want to play a sandbox, underwater version of Skyrim (because Skyrim has so many bugs that are so easy to get, its absolutely ludicrous.)

I think that's about it. Well, hope this gets fixed. Please spread the word.
(not a bug image, just a screenshot I got in my PRAWNS that I enjoy.)

EXTRA NOTE: You are probably bothered by me saying PRAWNS instead of PRAWN Suit. I just say PRAWNS because it is what it was called, at least temporarily, way back before it existed in game. People said that if you brought it out of the water, it would crash the game. The power cells weren't in the suit, and it also spawned off of the map when you reloaded, back then.
bye.

the warping/distorting of the models/2d overlays is caused by being incredibly far from the maps center.
