Black Hole Ringworld (Utopia)

Beskrivning
Yay! This mod has finally been updated for Utopia! Rejoice!

This is a remix of my old Black Hole Ringworld mod that I created way back in 1.2. At the time, there was no way of repairing damaged ringworlds, but since that was added in with the Utopia DLC, I decided to go back and rebuild the map. It's mostly the same, with the only signifigant difference being I eliminated the binary star due to having problems with multiple light sources not being shown and the ringworld has been rebuilt to use the Utopia megastructures. If you don't have Utopia, it's honestly still an interesting start as it is the same rather enigmatic system simply without the ringworld.

The race inhabiting this ususual system has known for many many years that they are not exactly native to the planet they call their home. A simple glance up at the gigantic structure in the sky was a pretty clear indication of that. In addition, due to the fact that the orbit of the only planet in the system is far to flat to be natural, the far more unusual object at the nucleus of the system was completely hidden until the first primitive chemical rockets started being launched from the surface. Scientists were stunned to find out that not only was a hypothetical collapsed star quite real, but it was the object that fueled the entire system! Recently, there have even been suggestions in certain circles that the planet may have been towed from a neighboring system like some kind of cosmic construction trailer.

This is a relatively simple system consisting of a black hole, an encircling ringworld, a group of asteroids just outside the orbit of the ringworld, and a single 16 tile inhabited world far outside the asteroids. The ringworld is junked due to neglect and needs rebuilt.

Your race is not originally of the planet. The current thought is that you are descendants of some kind of domesticated animal or pet that was brought to the planet by the builders of the ringworld. They seem to be long gone and have left very little information about themselves other than the titanic structure that orbits and protects the planet from radiation from the black hole.

Any chance for an update to 2.2.1?

OK, try the new version. I made a couple tweaks to it.

Same issue as Ibbit, I've encountered two other empires so far that have the same home system as this. Both were randomly generated empires, and the only one I've made with this starting system is the one I'm playing as right now.

This is a standard four block ringworld.

Sweet, thank you!

@marky612 I made it so that it will be unique. It may show up in a galaxy, but it shouldn't show up more than once.

Can you put it so the AI won't use it as a starting planet. I've already come accross this system several times now.

Discovered I left out a rather critical "}" which removed the asteroids out of the belt. Corrected. You should now get a little bit of mineral help in your starting system.
