OBO, pronounced "oboe" (yes, like the instrument), stands for "Overall Balance Overhaul."

This is a script that tweaks the Grenade Launcher. I would say it rebalances it, but its explosive damage stats are stored in the gamemodes.txt file instead of this weapon's one. Thanks go to Alex_D_Vasilkov and Sokol for pointing it out to me. So, if you want increased grenade damage and a slew of other awesome rebalances and tweaks to L4D2 (including more grenade reserve ammo!), get my Dead World mod too (see the above collections.)

So what does this mod do? Simply put, it makes the Grenade Launcher more fun to use with the variables available. I tweaked accuracy and spread stats to make firing on the move more practical/less tedious, and made a few other cosmetic changes, such as adding a bit of recoil. It's still a pretty minor mod, but I included it for what it's worth. I hope you enjoy.

for some reason, there is no secondary ammo and the M79 is a single shot/use weapon

I finally got around to adding what you said about grenade direct damage to the description to make it more clear. I also credited you in the description.

It could be interesting, yes, and I've fiddled with that myself. But I didn't want to make the Grenade Launcher TOO powerful, as my tweaks have already boosted it from vanilla. Still, it's nice to get some feedback from users. :)

33 damage is the damage the projectile deals if it hits a target directly. But the explosive damage is part of the gamemode.txt as you said. So if you wanted to you could make the damage higher but it would only take effect if you hit something directly. Could be enteresting to have extremely high damage. Sort of a reward for taking your time at aiming. It could destroy tanks very quickly.
