Borderless Fullscreen Window

Want a true borderless fullscreen window option? So did I. The game doesn't have one. Any instructions I found failed to work.

So I came up with this solution that works great for me on Win10:

1) Got to your steam install location\SteamApps\common\FTL Faster Than Light and open settings.ini. Change the #manual resolution choices to this (here is 1920x1080, change if yours is different):
manual=1
screen_x=1920
screen_y=1080
windowed=1
stretched=1

2) Install Borderless Gaming (free here: https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming) or support devs on Steam here: http://steamproxy.net/steamstore/app/388080/Borderless_Gaming/
Launch Borderless Gaming, then Launch FTL. Add the FTL window to your favorites. Right click on and turn on the following two options: Fullscreen and Auto-maximize.

There you go!

for me the settings.ini location was Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\FasterThanLight

I only have stripes at the top and bottom, the rest of the options did not change anything

I downloaded the zip archive, but now I downloaded the exe file.

Happy to help, but I've never seen that - at one point are you being asked for a password? Make sure you download from the official github here: https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming/releases

Hey thanks for pointing that out. Steam's auto hyperlinking was chewing those links up with the parens, I explicitly linked them and now its working. Thanks again.

Yeah that why I showed both options. Good of the devs to offer the code and binary open source and free, but I'm always happy to financially support good products to motivate development and support. Best of both worlds.
