T-AA Your New Temporal Filtering

A little history lesson
So from the Operation Blood Orchid patch many new things came and changed a lot of the older systems in place like the lighting and the start of map optimization. However, one change that has seemingly been hidden from the general public is that post-processing and render anti aliasing have been essentially merged into one option. This wouldn't have been a bad change except for that they have added T-AA onto the temporal filtering option which makes the game a bit of a blurry mess. This blur is very apparent and makes it a bad time for lower end gamers that need the FPS boost of temporal filtering but dont like the forced T-AA. So after a little bit of searching, the gamesettings.ini file happens to contain a hidden setting to help reduce some of this blur. To do this follow the steps below.

First go to your documents folder then go to the "my games" folder.
Then click on RainboxSix-Siege.
Then click on the folder that represents your UPlay ID which is going to be unique to you.
Inside is the afformentioned gamesettings.ini file which is what we have been looking for.

Do Ctrl+F to bring up the find command.
Then search for TAA.
The first one is the setting we are looking for, TAASharpenFactor

What value you change it to is up to you, however I would recommend anywhere from a value of 1 to 0.5 for the best results. Though personally I prefer 0.55 as its about as close as I could get to how it looked before and values of about 0.7 and higher become a little too sharp for me.

This guide has been rendered moot due to the sharpness slider. This was mostly to adress the lack of such an option when it was first integrated into one option.

If you want to change the T-AA sharpness value, this method can work but you would be better off just using the slider as they control the same option.

If the blur is still too much, turn the AA option to off if your system can handle it. It seems like even FXAA has some sort of T-AA added over it.

Is this still relevant? Doesn't the sharpness option that we have fix the T-AA issue?

Both 100% for a clearer and sharper image. That is what most pro's are running too, as far as I know.

I run TAA 100% because it renders the image at 1920x1080 (I don't compromise with the resolution in any games I play) and 100% sharpness too because it just makes the image crispier.

Can confirm this DOES still work with Operation White Noise.

I just tried it and set it to 1.0, and it looks wonderful! My game doesn't look like it got covered in Vaseline anymore. Thank You!

gtx 1060 6gb, 24inch 1080p. 0.25 works best for me. any higher and its too sharp.

Running a 750TI I was scared It would be hard to enjoy the game after this update, because T-AA was the only thing that made me have 55+ average FPS. Thanks to you, the game is returned to its glory.
