Introduction
If you have unlocked the Sanctuary and had a look around, you probably found that friendly guy at Headquarters offering requests from your allied characters. They reward you with a notable amount of regard and a card from the requester. What is not immmediately obvious: The requirements and rewards are fixed, and requests reset along with your main story (i.e. start at stage 1 again on every new game plus).
I just gathered the information on quests so you can check if the rewards will be worthwile, and if you should clear the map of certain battle types or wait for requests for it. Or just do whatever with it.
Basic rewards layout
The cards you gain from fulfilled requests follow a certain structure.
While the Friendship Gift and Attribute vary per character, their strength does not. Here's a quick list of the common stats:

hi.how to know if i'm playing main missions or side missions?

I am stuck at the first part of his quests where you only need 500 KOs.

Went into one of those "death battles" as Wang Yuanji, got over 600 KOs and yet it didnt count.

Does it make a difference if it is beginner difficulty or that the battles only availble for a limited time?

Tried to search for myself, but in all the answers I found nobody mentioned a certain difficulty or that you need to be a certain Hero for it.

Sorry, still haven't done the last quest for Lu Bu myself. There are only 3 or 4 battles that even have 10 heroes iirc, and you can do the 1000 kills for Zhao Yun at that time as well.
For the 500 kills, the "one hit" battles worked for me. Not having played the game, I vaguely recall requests only counting the base number shown for KOs, which does not include any done in Musou Rush (Or the other way around, I should finish this game sometime).

Any advice for the kill x enemies without getting hit kind of battles?

I tried the ones where you die after one hit, but even after doing those with the required amount of enemies it didnt count.
