Unorthodox Builds [DW/OD]
By Athena
A few builds suited for the higher difficulties of Payday, while straying as far from the meta as possible.

The Premise
These builds are meant to be played at the higher difficulties, but can also work well on lower ones.

I will keep adding to this list as i make more, but for now you'll have to do with just these two.

Oh, and Ultimate Edition is required for all of these, along with Infamy 5 and all the set bonuses.

Without further ado..
The "How the hell are you on a dodge build??" Build

As you can see, we start off with a strange one indeed! This build makes the M308 not only usable in a dodge build, but also works quite effectively too! It took a lot of doing to get this to work, so this build is split up into two categories:

The Automatic Railgun And The Ass-Blaster.
The Build

In Mastermind we get the DW and OD essentials which are Doctor Bags and Inspire.

Nothing much to see here, but the way i negate the M308's slow reload is with Aggressive Reload Aced. This enables exceedingly quick reloading and makes sure you never get caught with your pants down.. as long as you're accurate enough. You'll barely notice reloads now, just keep getting headshots!

I just get Underdog Basic as a little handy skill, its a throwaway point.

Dodge essentials, since we're running the suit Basic Bullseye will help us abuse Armorgating. Armorgating is a phenomenon where you can regenerate that invincibility period you get after losing your armor, allowing you to stay in the fight longer! While this may seem god-tier, it isn't on OD, so do not rely on it.

Nothing to see here..

We take the minimum point required to get SB Aced. Normally i'd like Shockproof, but this build just cant afford it.

I take Crits and Silencer skills, but don't worry, this is the only build so far that does this. I had to get silencers in the first place so i could even do this, so no whining about me having them here, ok!

Throwaway points go into making our pistol just that teeny tiny amount more reliable, although you don't have to use it at all.

No surprise, just the usual OD skills.

Two-Piece Suits

So Rouge works properly.

Perk Deck: Rouge
The "Apartment Sniper" Build

The Apartment Sniper isn't your usual sharpshooter. Ditching any of that sneaking around crap the Apartment Sniper instead rocks full ICTV, preferring messier and louder methods.

Being able to equip a saw to speed up heists, this build can really shine on the right heists.
The Build

Nothing special or interesting in this category, just some useful skills to make our sniper work better.

We get ICTV here, and some survival skills. We also pick up the saw for when we need it.

Nothin' here!

Yeah, yeah silencer skills whatever.. but we grab unseen strike now since its been fixed, so we have crits on an armor build! Imagine that!

Aaaand some OD skills.
The Equipment

The Desertfox

Barrel - Silenced Barrel
Boost - Accuracy (Optional)
Gadget - Riktpunkt 45 Degree Sight
Sight - Any, but i recommend any of the -3 concealment ones so you can snipe better.

The idea is to switch between sights depending on engagement distance, using one for close-ups and the other for distance. If you don't like that you could instead just get an LED laser instead. That would also eliminate the need for an accuracy boost, allowing other ones like extra ammo and stability.

The Arbiter

Ammunition - Default
Barrel - Long Barrel
Boost - Team Boost
Gadget -LED Combo
Sight - Surgeon Sight, or any you like.

Just for area removal, when you don't have the saw.

The Saw

Boost - Team Boost
Lower Receiver - Fast Motor
Magazine - Durable Blade

To access areas faster, and be a bigger help to the team
The Equipment - Gear

Armor - ICTV

Perk Deck: Armorer

Deployable: Doctor Bag

Melee can be anything, the throwables should be Concussion grenades.
In Conclusion
I'll keep adding builds to this guide either when i make them or when some get suggested.

Leave some suggestions or constructive criticism please, thank you.

@agent0125 The obvious choice would be Thanatos, but that thing is way too overused. The Desertfox after mods and skills does the most damage for a bolt-action rifle, making it better than other choices like Contractor, Lebensauger and stuff like that.

@agent0125 simply because i dont see it much in the OD meta. You can use literally any sniper you desire with that build, even the r93 if you so choose! I like the desertfox for it's ammo pickup and efficiency

Interesting non-meta builds. Though i have to ask, was it really necessary to use a desertfox(which i consider a high concealment sniper for dodge and crits) instead of something else?
