Basic Issues look here first!
Here is a list below of common simple fixes in the next section I will add more difficult fixes.

1. Right click Orake game on destop icon and put run as adminstrator. see if that works.

2. Restart your computer after a one time launch fail or fail to start ORAKE program.

3. Make sure your windows is up to date. If you do not know how to do this it is very simple click the windows icon on the bottom left screen and in the search bar put "windows update" and update your windows until there is no more updates.

4. Update your video card drivers. I would explain this in great detail but many graphic cards are different in updating. I would recommend you click windows button on bottom left screen. Then highlight the "my computer" or "this pc" and left click to get options and click "properties" and there under processor it should list your gpu (graphic card). Then depending on it being radeon or nividia
just google your graphic card and update it by searching for the drivers.

5. Disable your anti virus or any programs configured to protect your computer from unauthorized programs and then run the game and see if that work. you might want to try to restart your PC disable anti virus then run the game. I wont explain why to save time but this will work sometimes as well.

6. Uninstall Orake then reinstall the game on PC and restart the computer before trying to open the program.

7. Intergrity check the game file through steam. RIght click the game and click properties and look for "check intergirty of game files" or something like that. Will edit this later.

8. If you have issues with connection or lose connection i recommend you restart your routher and modem and when you do please leave it unplugged up to a minute then turn it on. Also put your finger on the cable wire needle so that it can remove all static if it has any believe me it happens lol.

9. Disable programs that will slow your connection speed on ORAKE for it has an ingame kick if you lag too much. I recommend turning off discord, skype, vent, itunes, antivirus updater, or anything taking band with. you can also try this cool command to learn some stuff about what is connected and what it is doing to your PC. bottom left of screen click windows button, search "cmd" left click the program and put run as administrator then in the command line put "netstat -BANO" with out the quotations of course and look at what programs are using interent. spools, svchost, steam, discord are usally always posted google the rest and see if it is anything.

10. I dont really recommond this but if you have issues with the game being laggy as in frames not lag as in internet I would go to task manager which is ctrl+alt+delete "task manager" and right click orake and set to "highpriority".

THIS IS ALL I HAVE FOR BASIC NOW FOR ADVANCED, NEXT SECTION!
ADVANCED TROUBLE SHOOTING ORAKE
This part of the guide is for those who are savy a little at dealing with programs I will not go into detail due to it being advanced. I recommend you google or ask me or Oderus for help.

1. DIsk check your hard drive either with 3rd party program (I wont list any sorry) or just through windows diagnostics. ONLY do this if you have isssues with other games as well.

2. Use CCleaner program to remove system errors or old temp data files that might interfer with Orake launch data. DO NOT use this if you have never used ccleaner and have no idea what regedit is and how power it maybe because you might lose files and I wont go into detail of what other dangers.

3. If your PC is a 2 N 1 aka tablet/laptop or a microsoft surface program using laptop with TOUCH SCREEN technology. Disable the touch screen drivers or the technology if you know how and then try to run the game or restart the pc and then run the game. This was a issue found from a ORAKE player took me less than 20 minutes to figure it out. the problem was it freezing at launcher and it turned white etc etc.

4. upgrade your BIOS on your PC. ONLY DO THIS if you know what you are doing and have flashed a bios or know how to deal with blue screens etc. I only recommend this because on another game that used a launcher non vb6 though, The bios was corrupt and not allowing it to read ram properly (will not digress about this if you want to learn more google or ask a tech with time lol).

5. Uninstall and reinstall GPU drivers. corruption in drivers is very possible and yes this is advanced because believe it or not some people will uninstall there drivers and get no screen after doing so and get upset not realising that they need to use there ONBOARD hdmi plug in or w.e they are using to render. ONBOARD as in mother board input not from gpu.

6. clear your ram by both safely removing them if you know how to and run the game 1 stick at a time with turning on the computer and trying it and turn off and add another. This will wee out the bad ram or it could just be static build and I will no further explain this just ask me and ill explain online.

I cant think of anything for now but ill add more later sorry go ahead and send me message on steam or in discord for ORAKE ill try my best to respond to you and good luck!

I would check firewall rules or turn off your anti virus and see if that is stopping it. If I knew what popped up I could probably help you better but im only assuming at this point. It could be a lot of things at this point try what I asked first and will see what else I can do.

While I was installing the game, a program popped up asking to run on my computer. I didn't think it was related to Orake and closed it, but I haven't been able to open Orake. My windows and everything is up to date, and I've tried uninstalling then reinstalling and restarting my laptop. The program that I closed originally hasn't popped back up so I can't run it, and I don't know what to do.
