Stateline: 1964

Stateline is a project that has been in development for the better part of three years; being constantly abandoned and revived until finally hitting the Garry's Mod Workshop. Stateline is based off a real town in Nevada by the same name. Yet the map has some interesting thematic quirks as well.

The map was designed for the Lockdown: 1964 Roleplaying Community, and revolved around the occupation of the Western United States by the Soviet Forces. The town of Stateline became the site of a refugee camp for American civilians seeking safe harbour from the battlefields to the east - beyond the Sierra Nevada range.

As such, the map was constructed using both aerial imagery from the era, alongside various other archives to design a unique and interesting gameplay environment for civilians, criminals and military personnel alike.

To this day, the map is still being developed with the hope of expanding various present and prospective areas. Future modifications to the map will likely include bunker additions, more space in the wilderness, and additional building detailing. Tangential development may include different seasons, and times of the day.



Stateline offers many different locations for roleplay and exploration. Several hidden paths and passages will bring you to hidden locations, and the vast, detailed wilderness will make the map feel much smaller than it actually is. Stateline includes, as of right now:

Stateline was built exclusively with content from Half-Life 2: Episode One and Half-Life: Episode Two. To remove errors and missing textures, be sure that these games are purchased, installed, and mounted.

If you are getting poor performance, it is recommended that you turn your water reflections to Reflect World, as the large outdoor environments and dense foliage tend to slow down low-end systems.
