2. Gnomes have been forced to early retirement.

I see this mod was recently updated and i'm liking the idea of using giant garlic for this use. Does waxed garlic also work? If not, will it regularly rot and therefore need to be replaced constantly?
Second question: do gnomes still work? Thank you for your answers and your mod!
