To start off, you want to get 200 wood or so. The more the better though! If it starts to get dark, start digging down and mine EVERYTHING. At the beginning it doesnt really matter if you die, unless you're on mediumcore or hardcore, so just mine until you die. Once you die and respawn, make a house and a ton of torches (the basics).

To start mining, after you built your house, dig straight down somewhere near your house. You don't want to dig in your house or within 10 blocks of it. Once you begin, start using torches to find caves as you go down. Start to, as I call it, begin the process of "cave webbing." Cave webbing is connecting a bunch of caves in one enormous mine, which looks like a web of caves, hence the name. Mine EVERYTHING you find. If you find an abandoned house, take everything from the chest, including the chest. If you die, just keep going until you have a ton of everything.

Assuming you have the materials, begin making the best armor and tools possible. If you dont have enough materials, THEM GET THEM STUPID! Sorry. Once you can survive for about 2 nights in a row, you can fight The Eye of Cathoolo Cathuloo Cthulhu. You can find a suspicious eye underground in a chest, which summons him. His/her/it's fight is fairly simple, and you'll probably beat him/her/it on the second or third night. Once you do so, make more gear from the ore you get (this depends on whether you have crimson or corruption).

Once you get geared up enough, in your opinion, you can fight Skeletron. Explore both sides of the world, all the way up to the ocean. You will eventually find a dungeon with an old man at the front. At night, you can curse him by talking to him. This will summon Skeletron. Kill Skeletron's hands/feet first, then kill the head. Killing skeletron will allow acess to the dungeon, which you should enter with a lot of healing potions and gear.

Upon entering the dungeon, you may see skeletons and other enemies. They are easy to kill, but in a horde, they aren't quite as easy. Don't stay in one place, otherwise you'll die. Keep moving, and locate as many gold chests as possible. Kill enemies to get gold keys, and loot the gold chests.

By now, you should know which one you have, corruption or crimson. If you have corruption, read the first paragraph. If you have crimson, Read the second paragraph.

The corruption boss is a huge worm that comes out of the ground to kill you. To summon it, go underground in the corruption and break three glowing orbs with a hammer. Get the loot. His/her fight is fairly simple. Grab all the loot from the boss fight and then go home. You can then make awesome gear from the loot! That's just about all you have to do with the corruption.

The crimson boss is a giant brain... yep. It only gets wierder. To summon it, go underground in the crimson and break three glowing hearts with a hammer. Get the loot from them. The Brain's boss fight is not so simple. You have to kill the flesh orbs surrounding the brains first, then you attack the main boss. Grab all the flesh and ore that he drops, and go home! You can make awesome gear from the loot. That's just about all you have to do with the crimson.

This game really likes flesh, Huh? Well, anyways, to beat the Wall of Flesh, you should get molten gear from hell. You should also get a good magic/ranged item, the bee gun is my favorite for the wall. You need either lava waders or a large platform across most of hell. Once you get all this you have to find a voodoo demon in hell. They're pretty rare, but they are easy to spot. Voodoo demons look like demons with a voodoo doll of the guide being carried by the demons feet. Kill it, and it will drop a guide voodoo doll. Once you drop it in lava, the Wall of Flesh will spawn.

To fight the wall of flesh you must first drop the voodoo doll in lava at the edge of the world. He will be constantly moving, so you should to. Constantly fire weapons at him, but dont get too close! If you run out of platform, then you're screwed. You can always fight him again. Once you kill him, he drops a lot of loot, get ALL of it. There will be much harder enemies coming to kill you very soon!

It may seem scary, and it is, but you must get through it. To start break as many demon alters as you can with your pwnhammer. Now just do exactly what you did at the beginning, mine and gear up! There are 3 bosses that you have to beat, and they aren't very easy. One is another worm, another is two giant eyes, and the third is skeletron with hi-tech weapons! You will need to get a lot of gear for this!

This is the worm boss. You may want to get a lot of fast weaponry, and some wings for this. You should fight this boss first.

The twins are a pair of giant mechanical eyes. To beat it, use ranged weaponry to kill one of the two eyes first. Then you can focus on the other. My personal preference is to kill the green one first.

Skeletron Prime should be the last boss you fight of the three mechanical bosses. You might want a lot of ranged weapons to fight him. Once you spawn him, focus on the hands, and keep moving so he doesn't hit you, too much. Once you kill the hands, the head is pretty easy to kill.

Plantera is a difficult boss. You should get a some chlorophyte armor to fight it. To spawn plantera, you have to find plantera's bulb in the underground jungle. It is a pink bulb, and it is pretty small. Once you find it, dig all around it to create a good fighting arena, the larger the better! Plantera will go straight for you, but in the first phase it's pretty slow.

I would suggest a true night's edge. A night's edge takes a muramasa, light's bane/blood butcherer, fiery greatsword, and a blade of grass. To make the true night's edge you combine the night's edge with a broken hero sword (dropped by Mothron during solar eclipses). You can also make a terra blade with a true excalibur and true nights edge.

After defeating Plantera, you get a temple key. You're probably wondering what that does, that's right! It allows acess to the temple! "What the hell is the temple?" The temple is a dungeon in the underground jungle with A TON OF TRAPS. At the end of the dungeon, there will be a ton of traps, a chest, and an alter. First clear the room of the traps, then use the power cells from the chest on the alter to spawn yet another boss, Golem.

Golem is a Boss with two huge fists that try to hit you. Focus on the fists first. Once you kill his body, you will have to do it all over again, except this time you have a giant head that shoots lazers at you. Hooray! You should fight and kill him several times, because he drops amazing loot!

To make a good arena, you should make a house with the nurse in it up in the air. Add a few platforms and an opening to send yoyos out of (something like my friend's Moon Lord arena below).

You should also get full beetle armor (it reduces 45% of all damage). To get it, you have to find turtle husks and combine it with chlorophyte armor, then get beetle husks from Golem, and comine the turtle armor with beetle husks.

You're almost there! All you have left is the hardest boss in the game! THE MOON LORD. Oh, and also a lunatic cultist and 4 of the most annoying pillars you'll ever see... You still have quite a bit to go. So, whenever you're ready to begin the end, head over to the dungeon, you will fight four people who are too busy worshiping a tablet to notice you. Killing them will spawn a lunatic cultist, who you will probably have to fight three or four times to kill. Once you do, four pillars will spawn.

There are 4 pillars that have just spawned in your world. To kill them, just walk up to them and kill the armada of enemies that spawn near them until the shield goes down, then kill those pillars! But be careful! Once they are dead you have about a minute to prepare for death! Make sure you kill the Solar pillar (orange one) either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Then, use the ancient manipulator to make a solar eruption from the stuff the solar pillar drops.

It's time... You've spent countless hours mining, farming enemies, dying, crafting, and fighting bosses. The Moon Lord will spawn anytime now! Quick! Get into the arena! Make sure everything is right! First get the hands down to a very small amount of health, but dont kill them yet. Then, you must kill the eye on the top of the head. The head is down! Kill the hands! The hands are down! If you get low on health use the nurse. You can't talk to her the whole time, otherwise she cant heal herself! Now, focus on the core! 5000 health left! 4000! 3000! 2000! 1000! HE'S DEAD! Congradulations! You did it!

Now it's time for expert mode!
