Overview
This scenario is a head-to-head race between two Nile civs, Egypt & Nubia to be the first to build 7 temples in 125 turns.

Both civs start on the Nile. Egypt to the north. Nubia to the south. While you can war with each other don't count on rushing cos you can only issue a DoW after 20 turns. And if you do, you'll remain at war until the end. Meanwhile you'll face wave after wave of foreign invaders from Hyskos, Libiya, Macedon, Persia & Assyria amongst others laying waste to all in their path.
Egypt
If at all possible remain at peace with Nubia. Befriend Amanitore as a trading partner and ally if you can. Instead focus your attention on defeating foreign hordes and settling the lush Nile river delta, for food and faith.

In your first 6 turns you will have use of 2 Nubian archers which you can use to conquer 2 city-states.

With your first settler, settle the bank of the Red Sea on or near present day Suez. fortify and defend against the first wave of cavalry. Conquer the neighbouring city-state (with the Pyramids) to fortify and control the mouth of the Nile. Conquer the two commercial city states to the south for the achievement From Med to Red to the Land of the Dead.

Using the Mercenaries policy levy allied city state units to help fend off invaders. Liberate city-states when possible.

Continue to settle the river delta building holy sites on the Nile while holding out against invading forces. Use faith to purchase temples being sure to stay a step ahead of Nubia.

There are only two religious city states in the game, so be sure to ally with or control at leat one of them FTW.

Nubia
Rush Egypt with your advanced ranged units and pummel her before she can build her chariot archer.

Spam out slingers (which you can upgrade to the Nubian archers) and more archers and DoW on Egypt on turn 20. Liberate city states if they have no holy site (or can give you faith as a religious CS).

You have to completely eliminate Egypt from the game for a Domination victory. Not just capture its capital.

Do to the bug the temple thing is out. Galleys can attack cities and conquer em. I build Builders, the monument upgrade for happy and lots of galleys 1 galley died on prince. Also I conquered on and the Nubian city on the same turn and got the less than 1-0turns achievement. Send sarting troops at the city states send all galleys to Numbia. This scenario will crash if you go for the temple victory. Blitz Boat. First war civ did not even show up. When you get unhappy avoid growth. Another problem with this scenario food up the wazoo no happy. You get a low score doing this but a win is a win. I conquered all the City states up to On. Denounce on turn 15. Take it before they build the wall.

Does Nubia have no chance of winning peacefully?

Irem is in the very southern part of the map. Its on the west side of the Nile. Just travel south along the Nile and you will find it.

Anyone know where Irem is? I found Punt, but Irem is not to be found...

ok part-2
Egypt Diety War Vic turn 35
no achievement for Punt/Irem

tips for this
leave the Military CS alone - they provide +8 Total to Unit Production in Thebes

Turn 1 - bought Granary and Scout - produce Scout
these scouts can get Envoy-1 for:
-- both Culture CS (Dakhla/Bahariya)
-- other Religous CS (Kharga)
-- Production CS to NE of Thebes (Serabit El-Khadim)
-- both Trade CS (Punt/Irem)
sent galley all the way to top of Map just to reveal 3rd Trade CS and Science CS
sent 1 of my few Envoys to both of these

spammed Spears/Slingers and 2 additional Galleys
captured On with starting units and archers

DoW Nubia turn 24
Nubia at this point had 1 Archer 3 cities
Settler for City 4 was up (was able to capture it)
completed Archery during war and upgraded Slingers

fyi
think the Fall Patch changed the starting Gold to 150
this gives a few options for Turn 1
Builder (100) + Tile (30)
Granary (130)
1 Slingers (65) + enough to buy 2nd on turn 2

just beat this on Diety w/ Nubia going the Religious route
finished turn 80 while at peace with Egypt

think the biggest difference i saw compared to some of the comments here
was that i was able to capture the City States near Egypt

my 1st attack/war was on Nekhen - turn 29
finished Saiing on turn 27 (troops were stacked at river waiting for tech)

Military City States (x3) Ashmunein/Ihnasiya/Nekhen (razed this 1)
Holy City State - On
Liberated Sharuhen (Science)
- this elimated Sakir-Har (1 of the invading armies)
- gave me Suzerain

maintained Suzerain of Punt then Kharga then Sharuhen

this gave me 8 cities for most of the game (5 i built + 3 CS Captured)
last Free Settler ran to coast for the Achievement
