Arrow Upgrading

Omschrijving
I constantly got sick of having a lot of arrows that were not useful to me so I made this mod to fix this problem. The arrows are now upgradeable to the next arrow rank. They are upgraded at the forge in the Misc tab. The ratio for conversion is 20:10. Example 20 iron will convert to 10 steel. Additionally the conversions will grant smithing experience.

Those complaining about getting too much smithing xp could probably use the Skyrim Community Uncapper to reduce either the smithing xp gains or how much a smithing level contributes to a character level. (or both, even)

Guessing its a mod conflict - only 1 other person having a problem like that and it wasnt that bad. Would look through your mods and see whats going on. Im level 107 so far and only 68 in smithing and ive bought TONS of arrows )

Agreed. Too easy to level smithing. Already hit level 70 smithing @ level 30 character and haven't even left riverwood or done first mission to bleakfalls burrow

Shouldnt worry about "realistic". You are playing a game where dragons and magic exist. Not to mention enchantments and giants, and walking dead.

Can either make it give no experience, which seems wrong, or give what it gives. It gives exp based on Bethesdas own formula we didnt change it. Is possible to change amounts of exp per combine but it screws up other stuff most of the time, especially when using multiple mods. I play with 46 mods myself. Perhaps you could add one of the other mods to "make up" for the exp gain. Or just dont use this mod.

Happy hunting !

I like the idea, but I feel the arrows add too much smithing experience. I won't upgrade errors because it will cause me to level unrealistically fast.

Like this idea!. However, my "D" never has a lot of weak arrows on hand. Each time D visits a merchant, he just sells the low grade arrows in inventory for 1 gold [or more] @. Try to remember to get Follower's cheap arrows too. Use that ploy to squeeze every last septim out of the vendor. Need some increase in Haggle discounts before vendors' buy price goes up from 0g for iron, falmer or foresworn arrows.

There are mods where you can smelt arrows into ingots, btw.
