Updated Guide to Hydroid
By Spawn
A guide designed to expose how great hydroid is. This is not a build telling you how to play Hydroid, it is just a guide on Hydroid from a Hydroid main.

CC/Utility Build
-Now if the text is merged with the picture, reload the page.
-The mods not maxed are meant to be maxed but I am lacking in Endo reserves.
-The mods that are not primed I do not have the primed variant of.

[Mod Setup]
-Corroding Barrage, Tidal Impunity, and Curative Undertow for the support and armor stripping you need
-Primed/Flow for the extra energy for your caster purposes
-Vitality for the extra survivability
-Overextended for the range on all your CC (Tentacle Swarm and Corroding Barrage)
-Primed/Continuity to boost the speed of Tidal Surge and to keep the duration up
-Fleeting Expertise to be able to spam your abilities
[How the Build Works]
Negative range destroys barrage and positive range destroys tentacle swarm
The way we fix this issue is simple:
1.Cast undertow on the objective and try to trap at least 8 enemies (10 recommended for maximum coverage) (Note: Do not stand on cryopods and cast this, as your puddle will float and not pull anything in.)
2.Cast tentacle swarm on the objective, it will (95% of the time) spawn on all those nearby enemies, with 2-4 tentacles left over at random spots.
3.Come out of undertow once you have your enemies captured.
4.Cast barrage for the rest of the duration if you (most likely) need extra CC.
5.(Optional) If there is a nullfier or you need to escape, dash into the nullifier with Tidal Surge and kill them, or dash towards a safer area.
6. Use tidal surge to dash in a nullifier bubble quickly or to remove that annoying slash proc

[Playstyle]
-Emphasis on Defensive capabilities.
-Use on mobile defense, defection, salvage, defense, survival (if camping) and interception (not for DPS use).
-Also meant to support the team and keep fire off of them with this godly CC.

[Final Notes]
-Works kind of bad vs Infested due to them not always being grabbed by tentacles, as well as Disruptors and Healers existing.
-Works well vs Corpus do to Hydroid being unaffected by nullifiers.
-0-1 forma build.
-No exilus adapter used.
Loot/Kill Based
-Now if the text is merged with the picture, reload the page.
-The mods not maxed are meant to be maxed but I am lacking in Endo reserves.
-The mods that are not primed I do not have the primed variant of.

[Mod Setup]
-Blind Rage
-Fleeting Expertise
-Stretch
-Narrow Minded
-Primed/Continuity
-Augur Message
-Pilfering Swarm

[How the Build Works]
This build has lower-than-average range, which means you have to charge Tentacle Swarm to get any real range
1. Find a dead-end room in a survival mission (preferably grineer or corpus due to Infested Disruptors and Healers
2.Make sure the door is one of the small square/circle doors for Corpus and Grineer respectively
3. Cast tentacle swarm inside the door so the drops are easier to pick up and reach
4. Go into undertow before Tentacle Swarm ends
5. Recast Tentacle Swarm
6. Repeat steps 3-6

[Playstyle]
-Camping all the time
-Use to farm resources if you don't want to Nekros + Atterax
-Somewhat defensive
-You will have to kill Nullifiers, Disruptors, and Healers personally

[Final Notes]
-Overall good versus any faction if you manage your enemies
-Can take you far into the endless due to the drop rerolls providing personal life support
