hey in this guide i want to show you how to fix a error that exist at many gta 3 users!
the error comes after you installed gta 3 and started it.
then comes a notification with "unhandled exception: c000005 at adress: 00630000 " and/or the game starts but the resolution is not normal.you tried much things but nothing helped you out? i had the same but i found the fix and want to spread it with you :)


how to fix:

1.go to google.com
2.search "ddraw.dll gta 3" (in google)
3.go to the first or second link at apg-clan . org
2.under files is a download button called "silentpatch_ddraw.zip" (press on it)
3.search yours gta 3 folder that you installed on your computer
4.open the .rar file
5.drag and drop the ddraw.dll over the existing ddraw.dll (if a ddraw.dll exist,im not really sure if a ddraw.dll exist before you make the new in)
6.start the game
7.enjoy it

1.google "silentpatch gta 3 "
2.go to the gtagarage . com link
3.press "download mod"
4.choose "SilentPatchIII 1.1 Build 5" + press download
5.extract SilentPatchIII.asi in the gta 3 steam folder
6.extract the particle.txd file in the models folder that is in the gta 3 folder
7.start and enjoy

the gta 3 path ends something like this steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto 3
