Unlocked everything after about 15 hours, but still haven't played with everything (such as debugging tools, etc.). Got everything pretty well automated (for this fully unlocked state). Knowing how everything works now, I'll probably shelve this for a week or three, then come back and refactor my code, to see if I have any bright ideas about improving, notably, pumpkin farming efficiency or dinosaur bone harvesting.

Next up will be getting on the leader boards, with fully automated runs.

For someone with a little coding experience, this game is delightful! For a complete newb, though, I'm not so sure -- it might be too open-ended, leading to lots of frustration and Googling/copying/pasting other people's code, defeating the purpose and enjoyment of the game. It's kind of an open sandbox, which is awesome if you know what you're doing, but probably not the best place to figure out how loops or functions work for the very first time.

The debugger is hugely helpful though, so there's real potential to use this as a training tool for beginners -- it helps clear up all those minor little typos and syntactic errors. I'll be giving this a go with some of my students, with me providing some of that extra guidance that's missing from the game/sandbox.
