I think this is an experience everyone should have, whether or not you use the blinking mechanic. Its a short experience, but worth every penny for it's message, the music, the graphics, and the story.
I've played through it 4 times now, for all of the achievements, and I still cried on my 4th play through.

Some tips/insights: Webcam is not required, but helps the experience of the game and with it's message. Having played it on both modes, they are equally valuable but different experiences. On blink mode, you find that many of the scenes are timed for the average blink, so if you're careful you won't miss anything crucial. On click mode, you will get more/extra information on characters and the story, but you may be left in awkward silence of when you should continue.
That said, I recommend on your first playthrough to use the camera, as it is so much better for the story. I played through most of it with glasses on in good lighting and had success. If you find that it's having problems, I recommend restarting and opening it back up, and making sure that your face is framed well.
