This game is a hidden gem. Aliens have taken over a remote planet. A squad is sent to find survivors from the colony. Unfortunately, the colony has been completely overrun by the swarm, so it must be destroyed.
The campaign contains only 7 levels. Each of them have secret messages to tell the players what had happened. The level designs are great and the game is replayable with random factors to keep it interesting. Most levels have really funny secret exploits that can make the missions much faster. There are 4 classes each with 2 members. The squad doesn't need one of each, you can play with whoever you want, but some levels require a tech marine.
One thing I don't like in this game is that every class has a superior member who is better in pretty much every relevant way than the other one.
I think this is one of the best game made by Valve, even though it's not that popular.

A great sequel to the previous title. The game has undergone major graphical improvements. The music and sound effects are amazing. Controls are easier to handle. There are only 6 classes, but all of them are significantly different in gameplay. There are two gamemodes: territorial control and detonation. The goal is self-explanatory for both. But there are also plenty of community servers where you can try out special game modes. For example gun game, hide-and-seek and also realistic situations. There are always multiple servers available where you can play. Achievements were added to the game. Some of them is really fun to do but most of them is rather tedious.
Overall a great game. My only complaint is that I still can't fight on the side of the Soviets.

A true classic. A very outstanding title in the gaming industry.
The game takes place during World War II, where two sides (Axis and Allies) are fighting eachother. Both sides have 9 different classes, which are almost identical in each pair. The maps are great. Most of them have simple flag capture points, but one can even try the Normandy landings for example, where the Axis defend and the Allies attack. I have to say that it feels really good to open fire on the landing Allies.
In summary the gameplay is simple and enjoyable. The game still has a small community: one server is often close to full. The only problem with this game is its age. Control and movement are difficult to master.
This game is really worth trying. I'm sure it won't be your favorite, but it can certainly provide a good experience for a few hours.
