Wasn't able to change my starting element so was disappointed there. Had to create a whole new character just to try another element out, then had to do tutorials all over again... Also co-op was not what I was expecting-- you have to actually know people who own the game in order to co-op. There's no random matchmaking or anything like that. Limited spell usage, lack of... excitement.

Fun game, lots of settings are able to be customized to ensure you're enjoying the game how you'd prefer. You can play on the hardest difficulty, with injuries happening left and right, while still being able to co op with new people who are playing on rookie difficulty. Love the gun fights, shooting, and team tactics sometimes required to infiltrate compounds. The classes all have their own unique abilities to help with the fight as well, which is pretty cool.

Just wish there was more costumes and cosmetic items, for guns and for my person. Think it'd be pretty funny to be a cat-girl running around with a colorful LMG taking compounds lmao.

Amazing open world game with difficult enemies, amazing boss fights and stunning environment. A whole sheet load of weapons, magic, spells, armors, shields, creating a very diverse and complex play style for the player, allowing them to play the game however they choose. Using the Seamless Co-op mod, people can even play with their friends from start to finish and beyond. I absolutely love this game!

Yeah, I'm not making a PSN account and linking it. It's a shame too because I used to really enjoy this game, and now it's just going to hell. Not even the good kind, either..

Started this game because I'm addicted to someone, and will playing anything they play. Didn't really enjoy it at first because this is the typical game where you get to a certain point in game and just feel... Stuck. It's extremely difficult to gather materials and money (there's like 20 different types of currency... why.) Everything is limited: if you gather material in the wild, you have raw material that you need to process. There is a numerical processing limit that refreshes daily. Actually, there's a limit to everything. Daily EXP, material limit, skill exp limit. Then there's the weekly skill exp limit on top of this. Crafting armor and weapons feels like a complete chore due to these limits, as you'll need 4-5 different types of resources to craft a specific resource for a weapon/armor. That weapon/armor then needs 4-8 more items on top of that to craft. So really you're crafting roughly 16-40 items just for one piece of gear... and if it's not the tier you want... back to farming. Extremely annoying and tedious.

One major positive for this game is the homestead building. My friend and I love architectural and interior design, and this game straight knocks it out of the park. The only downside is a lot of the items that actually look good cost real money... Which we both are guilty of spending quite a few hundreds on.

The character design and clothing are very attractive, too. Just wish there were more options for the guys.

Each gun has their own respective special attribute, and different recoils. This is good, as it adds a little variety to the game.

Love the new classes they've added too, with the ability to change out without any repercussions.

Fast forward a bit and a lot of people just quit playing it because it's just too stressful. I still play it now, casually and do some things with friends I've met in game, as I'd feel bad for just leaving them. I enjoy the game play, the mechanics are good, love that they are constantly adding new content for people, and new level caps every 5 days or so. The game is quite enjoyable, if it weren't for the tedious limits.

Great game so far, and it's only going to get better. My friends and I are really into architectural and interior design, and wish there were more options available to us in terms of design. Otherwise, the game is a great co-op PvE environment, with lots of fun nights with the friends. Tried playing this solo and just couldn't find it as fun as playing with friends.

Edit: Since the developers are constantly updating the game and fixing it, I have changed my review from not recommended to recommended. I applaud the developers on their hard work and dedication to the fan-base, and actually taking the fans' opinion into consideration on improving the game.

Pre-ordered the deluxe version of the game cause what the hell, it's only an extra $10. So I played it on day one, and got curious on how the co-op would work. I joined some random's world and helped him kill the bird lady boss. Cool, right? So I was allowed to continue to follow this guy around (I couldn't tell him he was going the wrong way sometimes due to no means of communication) and if I got too far away from him, I'd see a 10 second countdown next to his name. Sweet, I can't ever lose track of the host because they just teleport me back to him via load screen. Now we can never lose each other. Wish they had that in real life.

Anyways, a lot of the time the host would bite off more than he could chew and end up biting the dust. It happens, right? So sweet, when the host dies, you die too. And you both get respawned at the visage, regardless on whether or not you were fighting alongside him or 10 feet away picking daisies. At least it got us out of harm's way, instead of letting me fight a horde of baddies by myself. Gods forbid I somehow gained the ability to revive people, that wouldn't make sense. So after the host dying a couple more tens of times, I decided to bid the kind stranger farewell and be on my merry way.

After returning to my world, I find out that I'm back waayyy before the first boss. What the hell? I guess my character doesn't retain any memories from the host's world. That sucks. But I remembered it all, right? So I try soloing the boss and it actually was not that hard, because I already fought her. But now I have to play an extra 3 hours to get to where I had helped the host out in his world. Sure, my character doesn't remember it being 3 hours because he lost his memory in the transition, but I remember. And I remember it being a pain in the arse.
