How do you spend a year fixing the servers and netcode but still not fix it if not made it worse than it already was in beta?

How do you spend a year revamping the game but remove features, make the gameplay worse and unenjoyable (for the majority of the playerbase), completely ruin characters, oh and remember! Still no ranked!!!

How do you spend a year boasting about your free to play and pro-consumer practices but make almost everything pay to play, super hard to grind, and heavily incentivize just paying due to the days, weeks, or months it would take to grind
