It's pretty good. I've been using Index hand walking in modded SkyrimVR and it has influenced how I play greatly.
I stopped fighting as often. It was much more likely that I would walk down a trail in a forest or stay in someone's house longer. Personally, the biggest thing that stops me from fighting is when I find a really good place to sit and read a book. I would read books in the normal game occasionally but I would never actively think about it and would return to killing pretty quickly.

I've played Hitman 1&2 for many hours, and I've always loved the experience. The gameplay is like no other, allowing the user to perform incredibly elaborate takedowns with absolutely zero moral repercussion :troll: .

However, recently I bought Hitman 3 and was very very excited to use its VR mode as I had also recently bought the Valve Index. And I am very very disappointed. Ignoring the lack of a room-scale mode that would fix the user having to constantly recenter themselves, there are many devastating problems with Hitman in VR. I will list them now:
1.) Ridiculously blurry vision. I tried to fix the vision by boosting my quality settings and looking for answers online, but I could never fix the blurry vision. I was in the "Another Life" default spawn area and I couldn't even read the welcome sign directly in front of me, despite me having murdered my computer for an unnoticed quality change. The only fix I found was bringing the camera directly to my face, which not only somehow fixes the vision but also ruins gameplay due to the massive black borders and your eyes being replaced by your hands. Blurry vision is my worst enemy and my strongest foe, now both IRL and in-game. 47 should see an eye doctor.
2.) Broken hands. 47's hands rarely line up with my hands IRL, and when they do it's only for a short time before I take an item out. Taking items out of your inventory seems to cause 47 to suffer from their concussion and lose all hand functionality until you happen to go into attack mode, which fixes 47's hands. Only a few items are immune to this brokenness, notable ones being the wrench and fiber wire. The worst of the items not immune are guns and the camera, along with the hammer and coins.
3.) Wonky controls. Recenter and run are both assigned to pressing the left joystick, with the left hand being completely unable to do the things the right hand can do. I still don't know how to access the menu, I just strongly grip my left controller's touchpad. Scrolling in the menu and adjusting scroll settings are both controlled by the left joystick-- which is VERY annoying, not to mention it has high sensitivity. Throwing is also not intuitive and I have no clue how to activate laser gun mode, something I accessed for 0.2 seconds before losing it. VR controls should not be re-branded Xbox controls, and there should be more creative moves to make Hitman VR feel unique and fun rather than clunky and choresome. Perhaps the inventory is literally on the character, requiring the player to act differently in VR than in normal games? Perhaps ignorable tooltips (that don't interrupt gameplay or become annoying) show up when a user takes out an item such as a gun or c4 detonator? There should be creative aspects to Hitman VR that add to the experience and change the player's perception of the game. This does not happen.

I could talk about more, such as not seeing your hands when outside of a run or the complete inability to move the out-of-run menu so that it would be in a more convenient spot, but the majority of players will probably never play Hitman 3 specifically the Valve Index. Hitman 3 and its entire trilogy is an incredible game and I would recommend a PC playthrough of it. Xbox is a good option as well. The VR though is terrible. It needs an overhaul, and the Hitman's VR playerbase should receive one.
In the paraphrased words of another review, I read: "Hitman VR turns 47 into a blind crippled man stuck to a wheelchair, only able to use his right hand to kill- if they have the patience."
