Telltale's The Walking Dead is a former Game of the Year winner for the year 2012 across multiple publication's such as Xbox Mag, Spike Video Game Awards, USA Today, etc etc. the list goes on and on. This game adaption of The Walking Dead (IMO) is not only the best, but the first form of media that actually somewhat contends with the original comics. Absolutely destroys any other TWD video game title and with the current state of the TV series, it certainly is much more entertaining than that as well. Telltale's adaption of TWD boasts incredibly emotional story telling with top tier writing and voice acting that allows the player to develop their own form of emotional attachment to characters and feel as if they are a part of the story. Having choice's you make shape your story, even if it truly doesn't turn out to change a whole lot, allows for players to play through the game multiple times with different relationships, attitudes, and responses from the characters within the game. I have personally played through this first season several times and always LOVED my experience. I've even played the entire series with my wife and got to feel and watch someone else experience that "played for the first time" feeling. To anyone reading this, if you have never played through TWD Telltale series, you owe it to yourself to give this game a shot.
(End review notes, game is marked medium for achievements due to time to complete, but all achievements are unmissable and you simply need to just play through the story. Game is marked as worth the price - because it is, but game goes on sale often so you don't NEED to pay full price!)
