Sadly this game marks the beginning of the Yakuza series' ""downfall"" where the developers have seen the western audience finding the funny side content in previous entries entertaining and they doubled, no- TRIPLED back on it from this game forward by making the main story itself full of goofiness and insane stuff you would've only seen in substories/side content in previous Yakuza games.

Even then, I would be lying if I said the game didn't grow on me overtime, and I ended up enjoying the story and the turn-based combat for what it's worth. Boss battles did feel underwhelming compared to Beat 'Em Up Yakuza games because of the newly introduced turn based combat that nobody asked for. The game at least gives an acceptable lore reason as for why Ichi would see fights as turn based which makes the pill a little easier to swallow. I love the Y7 cast and I love Ichi sm <33

the game seems garbage, god bless free weekends its worse palworld with no tutorial so you just jump into the game not knowing how to do anything, let alone it still displays keyboard controls while you're using controller (and shows a lot of inputs as "unbound" despite me not having touched the control options at all?)

They overcomplicated the fighting mechanics, it's not a game you can just hop on and chill with like Budokai Tenkaichi 3 😭 You could sit in the training room with Piccolo for hours on end and still have no real clue how to fight properly in a real battle. and the fact the two DLC anime music packs that cost 15$ EACH aren't included in the 110$ Ultimate Edition?? What the hell?? Refunded the game, coming back to grab it once its 20 bucks

Was an amazing blast playing through this several times, though I can't get "Fate's pet" achievement despite being his good loyal pet for 2 whole playthroughs 😭 ACKNOWLEDGE ME AS HIS PET ALREADY

The one game where you can capture humans, enslave them and keep them for show in a literal CAGE in your base. 10/10 game gonna kidnap more guys for my own visual entertainment

- Legion (you date one of them - you date ALL of them, we love polygamy)
- Wesker (we can finally see his reaction to the fandom's thirst for him, and maybe we see a SHIRTLESS WESKER 😍)
- Daddy Oni (after we got Spirit, he's a must for continuation's sake)
- Artist (based killer and appeals to guys or bi/lesbian babes)
