Fire, my one true friend.
With a single spark, your life begins.
I am often alone but your constant crackling will always clear the silence during the night.
It is comforting like a reunion; the thousands of fiery fairies that drift up to join their sister stars in the sky.
It is the guardian that protects me from the fear of the unknown and the many kinds of darkness within.
I will watch the flames gracefully dance around the wind.
And after the performance I am left with snow-white ashes to remind me of the harsh winter's end.
I asked you to stay, but your little embers start to fade away.
Fire, you have left me once again
