Half-Life: Blue Shift is a neat and most fitting expansion to Half-Life and its story

It is a short, dlc-sized game which can be completed in under 3-4 hours at best. The expansion doesn't add any new mechanics, weapons or enemies. It simply expands on what is already set and works with it; which to me, makes it seem more grounded and canon to the existing tale.

There are a few inaccuracies with the main timeline and Dr. Rosenberg was sometimes a pain to escort because of the game's dated npc AI. That aside, the game-play, including puzzles and combat feel akin to Half-Life.

Overall its a must-play expansion for anyone who loves Half-Life, or Barney Calhoun

This is still the best Portal 2 mod campaign, even after nearly 10 years, since its release.

The story fits into the existing canon seamlessly. Its characters and humour is appreciable. The cut-scenes and soundtrack are striking and the puzzles have a higher, but pretty standard difficulty level. Every corner of the environment is filled with little details and its no wonder mappers still use this mod as an inspiration.
The boss battle felt a little underwhelming but that's pretty much the only con I can think of.

Underrated gem

Its a short and sweet game, comprising of 3 chapters, lovable protagonists, wonderful set pieces and environments (seriously its beautiful), well thought out puzzles and a good story that keeps you wondering what the next clue into it is.
The game-play is in a similar essence to Life is Strange, but imo much more polished and worked on.
The story and characters never overstay their welcome, and you learn much more about both of those the longer proceed into the game.

Overall, its a charming game, and I'll recommend this to anyone who wants to try a nice walking sim with an interactive cast of characters and a tale which changes from start to finish.

It's absolutely fun and one of, if not the, best game. Just as long as you stay away from the Hammer Level Editor. That's a rabbit hole I do NOT recommend going into (help)
