Timeless classic! This is one of the few games that are simply a must-play. Criminally underrated title. When I was a kid, I was as blown away by this game's trailer on the same level as GTA V's. Other game that simply blew my mind at the time was Outlast. Few games are simply this good, G.O.A.T. in their respective genres (many created by the titles themselves).

I can't fit all of my thoughts about the game here but I very much agree with those videos and have felt the same after finishing the game. Credit to those people for making such in-depth videos due to their love for the game. This is the essence of "gaming", and what many modern titles are missing, with the people playing them also in turn missing what felt so special regarding their past releases.

The first playthrough is more messy and harder than it should be because there was a lack of details in the gameplay mechanics tutorial, mainly combat ones. Watch the "Gameplay" section on Whitelight's video to find how to take advantage of the game mechanics that they didn't tell you about. After that, it becomes easy.

VERY IMPORTANT!
My TIPS regarding fixing/avoiding the VERY few but major bugs this game has, which haven't been fixed (unsurprisingly) by EA:
I recommend fixing PhysX for NVIDIA users. If you don't do that, the game bugs out and becomes unplayable with PhysX in certain missions, making it impossible to go forward without either disabling or fixing it. Fix it in order to enjoy cool physics at basically no rendering cost. You can do that here:

[!] ALSO: Avoid alt-tabbing at ALL COSTS. It freezes Windows big time. My only option when it happens is full-on rebooting. A possible fix for this bug is to run the game in a windowed program designed for full-screen games. I personally didn't and won't go through the hassle at the moment as I don't need to tab out, but you may find this helpful.


BTW, I made almost 400 screenshots throughout the game, because, as Whitlelight put it, this game's visuals are eye-candy and haven't aged one bit due to the DICE's innovation baking in the shadows and various effects, that are only now, after nearly 15 years, possible to be rendered in real-time. HIGH OCTANE GAMEPLAY

This game has a huge potential and is very fun if played with friends. Played it as a child when it was a flash game. Really fun. However, my feelings are mixed. The game is almost dead and it can be pretty boring without friends, but if you've got a bud to play with this is very, very fun. I would recommend this to anyone who has nearby or online friends and I suggest they make their own server as the scripts and maps you can download and make yourself make this game have endless possibilities, trust me. There's A LOT of content. Overall I think its a good game to play if you have any friends you can chat with and there are plenty of challenges and easter-eggs, oh and, it's great for low-end pc's. The only downside is the price which, in my opinion is a bit high and won't allow the game to take off, in fact, half of the playerbase is from South America and has pirated the game. Maybe they should make it free, it would surely blow up. This game needs some recognition.
