I genuinely enjoy this game. but I can't help but review negatively based on the recent developments from Sony. requiring a PSN wasn't a thing until recently and 60+ countries don't have access to making a PSN account, and others require you to give Sony your government ID. Meanwhile, Sony has had 4 data breaches in the past 10 years, 2 of which were fairly recent in 2023.
Given the fact it's such a damn good game, many players in these 60+ countries have already delved significantly more than 2 hours into the game, making it non-refundable unless steam makes exceptions to their policies.
Was this intentional? I hope not, as it is a horrible turn for Sony's future in the gaming industry.

Those in the 60+ countries that will lose access this game, deserve refunds, but the unfortunate truth is that those refunds will most likely affect Arrowhead Games, not Sony, the ones making this decision. and overall, I think it unfair for a 3rd party publisher to be able to affect games to this degree, MONTHS after it's launch. these types of rules, these types of restrictions, should be made public and EXPLICITLY clear at launch, not with a small box off to the side.

to add to this, Sony, on their website, has changed the sentence "signing into PSN is Optional" to "Some games may require it" OVERNIGHT. this change feels like them doubling down while also trying to do damage control. probably trying to deny it was changed and insist "its always been that way"

Overall, TLDR; I love this game, and I love the effort and communication from arrowhead games, Sony is a terrible publisher that extorts popular games into making bad decisions.



UPDATE: Sony has rolled back the aforementioned change after community backlash. PSN is no longer required, and we, the community won.

Exactly as advertised! 20 small mazes each with a clever gimmick! The puzzles aren't very hard but they're satisfying to complete, alongside some fun sound design, this made for a good hour of gameplay.
