STEINS;GATE is a visual novel that will take you into a sci-fi story that will go beyond your expectations, full of mysteries and plot twists.

Who is the main character?

You will play as Rintaro Okabe, the self-proclaimed mad scientist Hououin Kyoma, the protagonist of this story.
A character a bit tsundere and full of delusions.

How do the game's choices regarding routes work?

The mechanism is different from what you might expect.
There will be no 2, 3 or 4 options in the text box or in the middle of the screen with the classic options that a visual novel could offer you to make your choices at crucial moments and choose the route you want to take.

All choices are made using your phone at the right times.

Once upon a time, this game was great.
If you wanted, you could play public games, without any problems.
You went in, you were looking for a public match, perhaps in certain periods you found few people and in others periods you found more, but in short, the game was on another level.

And now?

Now, if you buy this game, download and open it, go to the menu and hit the classic "Quick game", like whatever normal player you are, don't fool yourself.
What you will most likely find are hacked lobbies.

What kind of hacked lobby?

You must know that in this game, a "proper" game must be composed of a maximum of 8 players, a Jason and 7 counselors or fewer.
When you die or run away in the car or whatever, unless they called Jarvis, you can't go back into the game as a live player and you can only watch as a spectator.

What you will find currently will be games of 20/30 counselors along with 3/4 jason, maybe even more.
That's not all, once an counselor dies you can be smart, quit the game and look for a public game so that you can get back to the game where you died as a live player, which you wouldn't normally be able to do.

Since we are not in a normal situation, there are also more irregularities.
