It's a short, simple but deeply atmospheric puzzle game with a lot of personality achieved through it's clean yet dirty industrial art design, timeless dry humour and lovable character exploring Aperture Science as a corrupt and soulless corporation that values profit over life.

There really isn't much for me to say, it's cheap and runs on pretty much anything and i think you would like it if you kept your expectations in check. This isn't a game on the scale of any of the Half Life games, this feels more like an indie project than it does a game made by a huge company like VALVe. 7/10

Honestly? I don't get it.

Maybe i'm just stupid or something but i really don't get why this is considered to be one of the greatest video games ever made, nothing this game offers me is something i cant get better anywhere else.

Scary zombies everywhere is a place gone wrong that you have to escape from? Half Life.

I already played this game on Nintendo Switch and i thought that if i played this on steam with a higher framerate and resolution i might enjoy it more but uh no, i don't. The gunplay feels like sticky plastic, there are some cool audio blogs you can find if you explore if you wanna learn more about the world but outside of that there aren't any interesting puzzles that encourage me to go there compared to something like Half Life 2 and while the environments and general atmosphere are very well made and unique, the gameplay just doesn't speak to me i guess. i don't understand why people would ever play this when half life 2 does everything this game tries to do but even better and it released earlier too.
I really, really tried to like it but this game just does not speak to me. Great game, but for me? 5/10.

I mean like, what do you even want me to say? This is up there with one of the greatest video games ever made with games like half life 2 and Zelda BOTW.

I feel like the main reason undertale has been so influential in the indie game space and why whenever someone wants proof of video games being "art", this game gets put as an example is because of its strong focus on characters and taking advantage of the fact it is a video game.

It does not try to wow you with jaw-dropping realism or great motion capture like playstation games, it doesn't try and tell its story through cutscenes which explain how you are SUPPOSED to be feeling, it takes advantage of the fact that its story is being told through an interactive medium where you make choices and those choices matter.

It's one thing to be able to read about things like monotonous corny things like, "be kind" on a poster or to be told that through a movie but it's another thing to actually have to MAKE THAT CHOICE through the a video game where the characters act and feel like real people instead of just textboxes telling you where to go. It's a form of storytelling sadly many games don't take advantage of instead choosing to tell their stories in a medium more akin to a movie or a novel but it is a form of storytelling that not only is capable only in a video game, but it is a form of storytelling that is really, really, really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard to do. And for that, i give underpants a 9/10.

Usually, i would say i hate games like this because this is just stupid brain-dead nonsense that has no purpose other than to be an expendable meaningless form of escapism but i like it because this game reeks of sarcastic masculinity so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid you just can't help but love the charm.

VERY janky, is nowhere near as polished as its sequel which is better in every way except enemy variety...

Stinky graphics, poop difficulty, great atmosphere and this game may be a fart smella but I am a smart fella so i'm givin this a 9/10 fr fr. i want gman to blow me while barney watches from the corner

FREE!.. and you can squat down and poop on the floor, plug a monitor into it and this game can still run at a gorillian fps on it.

It 100% deserves its overwhelming positive reviews and fulfills its artistic vision masterfully as a "high thrill kart racer with quirky hot topic vibes". My only complaint is i wish i could play this on my dualsense.
