Khaled Hosseini skillfully explores the themes of betrayal, dishonesty, and redemption in his works. In his novels, characters like Baba and Amir grapple with betraying their childhood friends, and Baba's betrayal extends to his own children. Moreover, Baba's concealed paternity of Hassan from his adoptive brother, Ali, exemplifies his dishonesty. Yet, amidst these moral conflicts, Amir embarks on a path of redemption, ultimately reconciling his own actions and those of his father. He goes on to adopt Hassan's son and strives to rectify the moral wrongs of his late father.
