It's a very average 2D sonic game. Not as bad as sonic 4 and not anywhere close to as good as mania. Just meh. But the thing that drags it down is that price tag. This game is absolutely NOT worth 60 dollars. Spend your money on something way better like buying 2 copies of sonic mania.

I've only played two hours so far and i'm hooked. This game has given me a fantastic first impression so far and I cannot wait to play more. I'll update my review when I've beaten the game, but it is just too much fun to not leave a positive review right now.

-Update- I beat the game and my opinion has not changed. This game is absolutely incredible. Everything to the visual style of this game, to the gun play is some of the most solid I have ever played in an fps. It feels like a blend of some of the best elements of Half-Life, Doom, FEAR, and a little bit Halo 1 all mixed together beautifully. The combat is top notch. The A.I is mostly great and will outsmart you if you don't play carefully. The world and lore seems very lovingly crafted to make this tragic world really feel lived in, but also lonely and atmospheric. Not to mention two more chapters coming entirely for free. There's a million other things I could say that make the game great, but if you love shooters, especially boomer shooters like Doom, or other 90's shooters like the original Half-Life absolutely give this game a chance, and see for yourself. You won't regret it. It feels like a game I should have been playing 15 years ago.

Pros:
This game obviously takes a lot of cues and inspiration from Wii Sports and is a pretty good recreation of that game in VR if that's what you're after. The sports are pretty fun and play about how you'd expect them to with minimal issues. Didn't run into any game breaking bugs. Physics on everything felt pretty spot on however a little too forgiving sometimes. Not too much to say other than the base gameplay is pretty solid and is a great start.

Cons:
The presentation is pretty boring. I hate to be nit picky but it really stuck out to me. For example the starting room where you pick your sport is just a generic room that has nothing to do with anything even sports related. Where as in Wii Sports Resort, you had a sense that all of the Sports took place on Wuhu Island and it made the world feel lived in. The game could really visually benefit from taking place in a lived in location like Wuhu Island or some kind of equivalent, but it isn't inherently worse without it. On a smaller note the bowling alley is way too small. Add more lanes and have players playing in the background, it would make it feel far more alive. Last I want to say while the game is fun, it is priced a bit too high for my tastes.

Overall:
Either add a few more sports and polish up the presentation or lower the price and i'd say it's a worthwhile game if you want to simulate some sports in VR

Devs are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiots

I've put many hours into this game before it launched on steam. This is probably one of the best god games out there with devs that are hard at work and keeping the community updated and heard. Very great price for the literal endless fun to be had here!

This is legitimately the worst live service game I have ever played. 343 should be embarrassed to screw up this many times. I've been a huge Halo fan since I was 7 years old and this is by far the most insulting one i've played yet. Don't support developers that screw up continuously and keep asking for forgiveness. Give this series to a developer that knows what the ♥♥♥♥ they are doing.
