The ultimate map sandbox, it is possible to make any scenario you could think of in the editor. The game has a lot of features the previous games didn't have, which are really nice. I can tell it is inspired by Crusader Kings and Europa Universalis so if you are a fan of those games you will appreciate the mechanics in this one. A big step up from AoH2, very good.

I've wanted to like this game for a long time, and the devs are doing a great job with all the new guns and maps, but that extra content is overshadowed by the buggy RoE system and the poor ai, which makes the game from a PvE perspective a lot less enjoyable. I thought that coming back to this game would feel a lot different in terms of the AI behavior especially with the new friendly squadmates, but they are absolutely braindead and cannot aim to save their life (literally). Several times I thought, what's the point of even bringing these guys? On regular, I noticed the AI plays the same animation over and over when you catch them off guard, it's quite jarring and becomes annoying after seeing it a lot. (Putting their hands up with a gun in their hand). I just don't think I can recommend this game in its current state coming from a Co-op standpoint.

Revert to legacy version for decent, playable experience. Still some performance drops here and there, but the game runs ok with a smaller amount of bots. Overall, the game is okay I guess...

A fantastic gaming experience.
Best played with Russian voicelines for full immersion.
Sucks that its no longer available for sale.
