I'm a brand new player to the Total War Series and fancied giving it a go as I've always thought watching thousands of soldiers fight in real time was absolutely awesome. This was no exception.

The Warhammer Universe is something I've never really been interested in but damn is it cool. Watching little rats get pulverised into little tiny pieces by a giant Lizards is something I didn't think would be so enjoyable. The wealth of content is a little overwhelming but you definitely get what you pay for, I would recommend purchasing Total War Warhammer also to unlock all the factions in that game - the integration is excellently done.

Overall it is quite complicated, there is a lot to learn, however its a really enjoyable learning experience and one that has kept me sufficiently entertained. I've only played a handful of factions (haven't completed any, I've realised I'm not very good) but they all differ in play styles and have some great units.

New players please do not be apprehensive, this is a wonderful game that can be played as a complete newbie. Youtube is your friend, there is a huge and helpful community all of which explain how each faction works, newbie guides and lots more ofc. My only gripe is the amount of DLC is a little crazy, then again a youtube video should sufficiently explain which are the best to purchase and which are integral (some factions benefit massively from the added units in the DLC (*cough* Skaven in the Prophet and the Warlock *cough*).

Buy this game, seriously.
