for years now i have been playing round with terraia's more popular sibling - minecraft. because I was quite happy with the content it gve me, I didn't even consider playing terraria, until two things happened: my minecraft launcher became outdated and I kept forgetting to update it, and a friend bought me the game for my birthday. With advice from friends, I started playing, and i have found the experience surprisingly extremely enjoyable! The world is interesting and the music and visuals please the senses (seriously, Rain affected me emotionally lol), but most importantly i liked the pacing: it starts slow as you get to know the world, but once you start getting used to it, it starts challenging you! bosses will eventually spawn once you reach requirements, forcing you to progress instead of stressing over if you have enough potions.
There's so much more I could say about the game, but here i'll just say: it's worth it.

This game is great.
Good music, great design, and it runs well even on a crusty old laptop.
The gameplay is quick and the challenges fun, though I thank the game devs for including a gamemode specifically for people like me: absolute noobs.
I may be playing on the easiest mode, but Steamworld Heist is hardcore.
I am surprised by how immersed I am in the game when I only bought it because I knew the soundtrack was made by Steam Powered Giraffe. My main motivation when I first got it was finding their cameo.
In other words, I am pleasantly surprised and generally thoroughly enjoying myself.
If this high lasts long enough, maybe I'll move up a couple game modes.

The game is beautiful. The style is cute, yet can become creepy on a dime.
The soundtrack is gorgeous and immersive, carrying over emotion and perfectly framing the scenes.
It is really a fascinating fantasy world, where you are questioning whether it is all real or not.
Fran Bow is the perfect game for those that like simple puzzle-solving, aren't averse to a bit of blood (or a couple litres of it) and are craving the nostalgia of point-and-click
