SILENT HILL 2 (2024) is the perfect example of how to make a remake at the heigh of the original, and I'm here to tell you why:

-Story: One of the best not only of the horro genre, but of videogames in general; The characters are memorable and the themes that the game touches on are strong but the story carries them in an organic way without feeling superficial

-Ambient: Peaceful but Tetric. weird sounds, creepy music, silence... that's is what you can find when you play the game, making the atmosphere of this silent town feel strangely alive, it feels as if the town were a character that accompanies you on the adventure

-Gameplay and Enemies: It's feels like playing the original but now is more dangereus, the streets are now more big and many buildings have now interiors, making the game more extensive and at the same time interesting to explore. The enemies are now dangereus and hard to fight making the game more tense, because James is a normal human, so he doesn't have much skill when it comes to combat

-Art: the desing of the game is beutiful, having zones and enemies with symbolic meanings

-Soundtrack: It's pretty faithful to the orginal, having many iconic pieces of the original and at the same time new tracks that enchance the experience


The original was my favorite game, but this remake has so much love, care, and affection in it that it's hard for me not to consider it better than the original
This game is a piece of art that you must play if you are a survival horror fan of complex stories
